I think both games intro gives you exactly the feeling of each game and what to expect... they're both perfect 10/10 for me 😁👍

That's a good way of putting it. With TotK it focuses more on the additions rather than the whole of Hyrule like in the first.

As much as i love totk one, the botw one remains the winner to me because it's the reason why i fallen in love with the game in the first place after it viewed how big the world is and there is so much to do

Totally understand that, I love the opening to TotK, and even though it is bigger, it doesn't show the entirety of the world like BotW did it that first reveal. Both fantastic though.

TotK sky world is too spread out to be able to do that even with it panning around (which botw doesnt do). botw shows like 40% of the top map, TotK shows mostly the vastness of an entirely new area we've never known about

@jarvismiller5313 I noticed that as well. I feel BotW had yhe bigger impact because it was that wow moment. However TotK did that as well in their own way with showing the newly added areas, like you were saying.

tbh the vibe they both give off is so similar but wonderfully different. BOTW intro feels beautiful, but is missing something. a good representation of Link not having all his memories, and not remember hyrule properly compared to TOTK.

I like your take on it. I do agree, they give off same but different vibes.

    Botw: Behold a beautiful world!
Totk: Welcome back old friend! Let's party!

As an individual game, I think totk is more complete, but botw was the one that created the bases of totk, so I think that botw is a better videogame and a better tloz

I can understand that. Without BotW base TotK would have never happened. I'm just glad that while it's still in the same Hyrule, they can stand on their own as separate entries. You put them together and 🤌

I prefer TOTK because it improved BOTW in a lot of points. With your logic we could say that the first Legend of Zelda game is better than all the others because they wouldn't be here without him.

@quentin6893 and I'm sure that there's plenty of people that feel that way. For some, no matter what it is, the OG will be the best for them.

I absolutely love TOTK and it improves upon BOTW in so many ways, but BOTW has a really special place in my heart as the game that introduced me to the Legend of Zelda, so I like the game and its opening more (perhaps I'm just too biased though)

I can totally understand that, especially if BotW was your first Zelda game. What a game to start with🙂

Both are wonderful. BOTW is what got me into Zelda (sorta). A few years back when I asked for a Switch for Christmas, I knew I had to get BOTW even though I had never played a Zelda game. In anticipation, I played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on the 3DS back to back... but the moment you emerge from the Shrine of Resurrection and that beautiful and quaint motif plays, it's just amazing. BOTW's is perfect for opening up the quiet and isolated sadness that looms beneath the surface of the open world experience.
In TOTK, the sheer magnitude of how it improves on BOTW, as well as the more adventure/story driven gameplay is foreshadowed in the big and booming brass and the string arpeggios. Neither is out of place and they are both 10/10

Well said. I'm starting to realize that there's alot of people who's first Zelda game was BotW and so it hits them differnt even though they love TotK. For whatever your reason is there amazing games to experience.
