simpler shortcut for 32:01 - Partha is at midpoint and from that instance narayan takes 2 hours to reach B. since partha takes 4 hours more than narayan to reach B, total time taken by partha to cover 30km is 4+2 = 6h. so 30/6 = 5. 1 step solution.
Sir, In the 2nd problem you say that C is much more efficient than the gap between B and A. The statement in the question suggests that the combined efficieny of C and A is more than that of B (which is what you said). But this can be true with efficiency of C being less than that of B as well since combined efficienct can still be greater than that of B. If Eff(C) is less than Eff(B) then when both B and C are turned on the tank remains empty and C fills the tank in 75 mins which is one of the options. How can we say that Eff(C)>Eff(B) without plugging in option D and checking one of the statements?
Yeah, but B being equal to C will mean that A alone fills the tank in 2 hours or B alone empties the tank in 1 hour which will mean that C alone fills the tank in 1 hour which contradicts the 75 mins in the question.
@@Point99_CAT_MBA sir if we take the efficiency of C to be less than B then A will take less than 2 hr to fill the tank or B will take less than 1 hr to empty the tank. In this case C will take 75 mins which is not contradicting the point of being less than the efficiency of B. Please confirm whether it could be possible.
Another alternate soln to Q1 - Speed for the 2nd part becomes 4/5th hence time taken becomes 5/4. This 1/4 increase in time equates to 45 mins. Hence originally it would have taken 45* 4 = 180 min to cover the distance on time at 30km/hr. Hence distance of 2nd half 90km. Hence total distance 90 + 30 = 120 km
Yes Vedant. I’m a big fan of this approach. The only issue is the 40 kmph part which you will get once you apply it to both situations. Speed becomes 4/5th, time taken to cover 18 km becomes 5/4th. Time increases by 9 mins so time taken usually to cover 18 km was 36 mins. Speed is 30 kmph. Then comes the 45 mins part. Time taken should have been 180 mins leading to 90 km. Let me know if I’m missing something. Good job though 👍🏽
Thank you, Dishant for the kind words! Regarding staying calm, try out these three things: Write down on your rough sheet before you start the test in big bold letters “I’m awesome because I have kept my ego outside”. Keep reading it whenever you get stuck. Visualise everything that you can anticipate on the day of the test and be mentally prepared to deal with surprises. If you feel scared or sad during the test, keep your pen down, take 5 deep breaths and tell yourself that you got this!
You can prove this by using similarity. If the heights of the poles are x and y and the height of the middle bit is h, then you will get h/x = d2/d and h/y = d1/d which will give you h/x + h/y = 1.
Think about it in a standalone manner. Let’s say you and your friend are running a 1 km race. You beat your friend by 100 m. So when you have covered 500 m, your friend would be 50 m behind you, when you have covered 800 m, your friend will be 80 m behind you and so on. Now back to the question, the second horse beats the third horse by 80 m eventually. So when the second horse is ahead of the third horse by 79 m, 79/80th of the race is already done. 1/80th of the race still remains which is also 11 m according to the question.
Sir I have revised everything again and again but sometimes , when I suddenly see even a similar question, I can't instantly recall the method to proceed. How can I improve this ? Help!
If it’s happening sometimes, then it’s okay. Even if you are able to recall stuff 60-70 percent of the time, I would say that’s fair. If the method is eventually striking you then it shouldn’t be an issue. It’s not a speed test where your range is tested one where your depth is.
For every 18 km of extra distance covered at normal pace, you are going to be late by 9 mins fewer. Considering you are 45 mins late, you need to cover 18*5=90 km at normal pace.
The malfunction happens after 18 km, you save 9 mins, it happens after 36 km, you save 18 mins, it happens after 54 km, you save 27 mins and so on. You have to save 45 mins to reach on time. So 5 times

Definitely sir There are some questions that you solved in a minute with a trick otherwise it may take 5-6 to complete. But in the exam hall , this trick doesn't hit our mind 😢. And without using any trick I am comfortably able to 11-12 questions in every mocks. Just select the easy and moderate questions
What you are doing is perfectly okay. All these stunts are for the last few mins when you would want to max your score. And you are absolutely right; most of these tricks won’t strike most aspirants during the test. Just that familiarising yourself with what is possible can open up your mind a bit which in turn should give you a small edge.
I have been getting around 70-75 marks(ranging around 87-94 percentile) in aimcat and CL mocks.. I am a gen engineer female with 9/8/8 acads. Around what percentile can I expect in actual CAT...Should I fill the spjimr form?
I think you should fill the SPJIMR form with that profile and score. Even if you maintain your CL mock performance you stand a good chance of getting a call from SPJIMR.
What a brilliant and beautiful way to solve quants questions you barely needed pen to solve. I wish someone would have taught me rhis perspective of looking at the questions earlier. Nevertheless I will try my best to be mindful of these methods in exam. Thankyou sir

Very much a great crash course and revision before CAT :)
The knowledge shared in this one video >>>> the knowledge shared on "CAT MOTIVATOR" 's lifetime videos
I have never see someone solving these so easily..a series will be a treat to watch.
P.S I am not an aspirant but enjoy learning and solving quant.
Thank you so much for this sir!
The concept of gap in the race, i realised for the very first time , a confidence boost just before 3 hours of CAT

Thank you so much sir 😊🙏
Thanks a lot sir.
prabhuji is great ❤
Sir in the shirt question you only took 8w+9B, whereas in the question it is said average cost, hence wouldn't it be 8w+9b/(w+b)
51000 was the total profit so equated it accordingly.
thank you sir
25:34 sir agr 3 installment hoti fir kya change aayega ?
x/(1.1^3) + x/(1.1^2) + x/(1.1) = 210000
Please 🥺 make 10min video for each chapter in quants
Sir can make 5 minutes video for each topic 😊😊😊
Thanks sir
sir slot3 h mera but poori raat neend nahi aayi hope paper achaa jaae agar jitna pada utna paper m yaad ajae tb bhi paper badia jaega

can anyone explain the question with three hourses?
why we took 1/80th or=f race is 11 metres?

We got 79 but 1 part is left to cover out of 80, that 1 part is 11
Sir I have revised everything again and again but sometimes , when I suddenly see even a similar question, I can't instantly recall the method to proceed. How can I improve this ? Help!
Mind your language and your own business if you don't have anything nice to say!
If it’s happening sometimes, then it’s okay. Even if you are able to recall stuff 60-70 percent of the time, I would say that’s fair. If the method is eventually striking you then it shouldn’t be an issue. It’s not a speed test where your range is tested one where your depth is.
@@Point99_CAT_MBA I was in slot 2 sir, I felt the questions I selected was time consuming. I couldn't solve all the questions that I marked to solve.
Sir, in 1st question to come at 90km 18km × 5 = 90 in this how did we arrive to 5. Is it from ⅘?

Nope. Haven’t designed any mocks this season.
sir can u make a 5 min video on log and imp ques of p and c
32:26
46:54 yahan pr half kaise aaya
Car 2 has covered x/2 jab car 1 has covered x. So to reach point P, car 2 has to cover 3x - x/2 now.
@@Point99_CAT_MBA sir she is asking about another question which on time stamp 46:54
@ShambhaviSharma-e3r Ah! Thanks for pointing it out. In that question, the sum of all the possible values of x will be 3 + (-2.5) = 0.5 or 1/2
