Thank you very much, Ivar, for keeping us poor stay at home pilgrims up to date with everything happening on the various Camino routes and in Santiago itself. It is so wonderful to see the Cathedral in all its glory and we hope to see it in person in May this year.
Thank you, for this video. The cathedral looks quiet new. But I will miss those old benches for ever, the feeling, when you arrive after a long pilgrimage and you can sit down in the cathedral on these old benches, that gave you the feeling, that pilgrims of thousands of years before have also been sitting there. That was kind of being hugged by eternity....
You are the BEST, Ivar! Walking again this year in September. Missed you last year! Hope to finally meet you this year. Thank you so much for all you do for us.
Thank you very much! Last time I visited was in September 2019 and hopefully be back this April. During this Covidyears your videos have helped us to survive the longing of a walk :D
Thank you so much, Ivar. I appreciate all your videos, and this one showing us the Cathedral is especially lovely to see. The Cathedral was closed to renovation when I was in Santiago de Compostela in 2019, but I was able to give Santiago a hug and visit his tomb in the crypt. I very much hope that one day I'll be able to walk another camino and go to Mass in the cathedral and see all this beauty for myself. Thanks again.
I really missed being able to hug the Saint in 2021. Walking again in 2022, and I imagine there will still be no hugs. I truly hope a day will come when we can hug him again.
Thank you very much, Ivar. I hope to walk again later this year but much depends on the pandemic and my hip operation. My route this time will, I hope, be from San Sebastian, via Oviedo to Santiago and perhaps on to Finisterre.🤞🤞
Many thanks. It would be great to hear some organ music from the golden age of Spanish music, say Francisco Correa de Arauxo or Sebastian Aguilera de Heredia played on the restored organ.
Honestly, I'm quite glad to see the Matamoros statue removed. It's a curiosity for me throughout the Way, but it was always a bit jarring that the cathedral would continue with that image.
Thank you for sharing with everyone Ivar! The cathedral is very beautiful, peaceful and majestic. I hope to see it again end of March this year. I always look forward to your comments / videos. They're especially welcoming to the people who come to your country from abroad. I'm coming from western Canada. Since COVID and now sub variant OMICRON are still very present, any information you can provide about where to go for testing (PCR etc.) for those pilgrims leaving Santiago and heading to the airport(s) would be most helpful.
Hello, what mass time does the swing of the Botafumeiro happen? Does it go every day? Also, what is the difference of the Pilgram door and the main door? Thank you.

Thank you, Ivar. I enjoyed that. I hope to walk through the cathedral again later this year.
Hey Ivar, this was a beautiful post to view the cathedral. Thank you
Thank you Ivar. Brings back so many memories of my two Caminos. The new work looks amazing!

Thank you Ivar. It's wonderful to see it even though it is very difficult to go there at this time.
Thanks for letting us know about Santiago. Is the cathedral repair complete!? We are recording memories while waiting for our fifth revisit.
99% done

What statue did they remove, and why was it controversial
It had Santiago on a horse with a sword, killing some people..... More here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_James_Matamoros
Will the Holy Door be opened the whole of 2022?
Yes
