You make it look so easy :) I still haven't flown anything in DCS. The button setup, keyboard, HOTAS and flightstick is daunting to begin. I've been looking for some premade setup for various aircraft to load and take it from there.

Don't procrastinate getting in. If you can find somebody's pre-made control profile, that's great. But if not, just get started flying around. You'll only need pitch, roll, and throttle for that, and even just a keyboard will suffice. Then start learning one small thing at a time and add in the controls for that. Over time you'll get a sense of what things are important to have mapped and where they should be.
Managing control profiles for all the various aircraft is a mini-game all on its own. Nobody ever stops fiddling with it.
