The next nozzle size down is best. Tip doesn’t get hot and will comfortably heat up 22mm copper

I have probably only ever done a few soldered joints in my life, everything is brazed here in France. Isn't it strange that the two countries could have such a different view on how plumbing should be done.

I’ve had two of these in the last five years. Both developed a leakage from on/off switch. Do I chance another rothenberger or change brand. People on RUclips who have not had this problem seem to have bought there’s many years ago. Are the newer ones made in china? Is that why they are failing?

Hi James, I am watching all your videos and really enjoy them 👌
I have a question for you:
I have a tee from a cold feed pipe that is about 4meters long and not needed anymore. Instead of capping it off and create a dead leg, will it be wrong if I reconnect it back to the cold feed pipe down the line? And if that works, will it make any difference if the that reconnection to the cold feed is last in the line creating a loop circuit?
    TIA

Rothenberger don't make the Fore 2 model any-more. Their new model is the Rothenberger Super Fire 3 that comes with a whole repertoire of nozzles. And uses Mapp gas that gives a higher temperature. Many EU country building code don't allow the use of solder (tin) for copper pipe fitting and soft silver has tobe use, the reason for this is that silver and copper react with each other when heated and form an alloy. Solder (Tin) and copper don't react in the same way when heated, when heated they form a bond. Also the higher flame temperature of the new Super fire 3, can braze with ease, hard-silver. Thus an even more durable alloy can be attained.
