A brilliant video I’ve just found you I really enjoyed it and have subscribed till the next one 😊
Thanks so much
This tour is far more chilled out than my tour was back in 2018
Absolutely loved your video too
@@DarylPritchardvideos thank you very much
@concert, what happened on your tour?
Edit, never mind I didn't realise you filmed it 🙂 I'll go watch it x
I'm going to the studio this weekend really looking forward to it
Enjoy
Great video, i went on the last tour of granada studios in 2013 just before they moved to the new set
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video. Please subscribe if you’re not already done so I would really help us out. Thanks again
@@DarylPritchardvideos no problem :)
My family and I visited the old street twice as part of the Granada studio tours. I've got a photo of my aunt and uncle standing by the half built Roys Rolls which was being constructed at the time.
wow thanks for the comment anthony
Hi do you get to see inside the studios at all or is it just outside set?
Only outside sets
Hi Daryl, If you need an idea, how about taking a trip around Sneyd Green & Milton.
sounds good
Going here in a few week time, i went the old one as well, before they knocked it all down.
Brilliant have a great time. Thanks for watching you’ll really enjoy going into sets like the burger shop etc
@@DarylPritchardvideos we are having a celebrity tour, dont know who the celebrity is yet, but will find out when i get there. probably an old corrie actor
@@StaffordshireTravelAdventures hey thats great have a good time let me know who it is
Tour guide is so handsome!
I'm very impressed with your tour around coronation street. I went to the old one many years ago.. also what camera are you using thx..
Hi thanks for the comment , we ise the DJI osmo pocket 2
Thank you so much
Very welcome hope you enjoyed
Enjoyed it but a windbreak mic would be nice. I saw the OLD set derelict just before this by another blogger so was cool to see the difference. Thanks for the video.
No worries agree in windbreaker for mike will look into thank you
Enjoyed the vid - how much does the tour cost ? Also when was the pillar box changed and why - I preferred the traditional one .
Hi cost is 70.00 for 2 people not sure when they changed the pillar box , glad you enjoyed like and share and of course subscribe thanks
@@DarylPritchardvideos thank you 🙏
We are going tomorrow and it's costing us £140 for 4 of us so £35 each
The pillar box was changed because the tram hit the old one, you can see it during the tram crash it goes PING and flies away.
@@ismayb754 ok thanks , I just wish they replaced it with a replica of the old one .
By heckers our kid looks bloody freezing. I’m off t pub get self toastie 🇬🇧
I went on the Granada Studios tour back in 1991, which was a brilliant day out with all the other attractions in addition to the Street and a fascinating insight into the world of tv production. I remember Bill Roache introducing a selection of classic clips, asking which category we’d like to start with - comedy, romance or tragedy - I thought he was there live, not recorded lol. Then in 1996 I visited the World of Coronation Street attraction at Blackpool, there were caricatures of the characters included in the illuminations. There was the facility to appear in your own Street scene to purchase, superimposed. I was in a cafe scene with Gail, Alma, Martin and Curly, something about a 5 a side charity football game. Your guide Michael certainly knows his stuff, would he be an avid fan of the show anyway or have to undertake loads of research, fun and interesting job anyway.
Wonderful comments thanks so much
We went twice to the Old Coronation St tour 1998 this was a full day with interactive cinema visit behind the scenes. Corrie costumes the land of the giants set with oversized furniture. A mock up house of commons and actors doing a show Copy Front of 10 Downing Street. There was food to buy ice cream etc A working Rovers Return pub we bought a drink and a Hot pot.All for £8 alright Twenty years on its £35 but there's nothing to do you only get a hour and half waste of money
A lot of the locations into the street with the houses and shops were recognisable, but some were ones that I didn’t know existed and that was good to find out information about them and also with buildings, like Roy’s rolls, the Kabin, the rovers, Audrey’s salon Preston’s petals, dev’s shop and the co - op too
Along with the new area that you may not know but they added a new area shortly not long ago the tour guide talked about that and that it had a lot of 1960’s style shops there and also a children’s playground area there too and the tour guide did talk about Michelle Keegan aka Tina McIntyre and about the recreating of Tina’s death and he said if anyone would like to recreate that on Saturday which was funny.
Thanks for the comments
Nice video, but the wind is causing an awful bass rumble. You might want to EQ/FFT that out and re-upload. And get a mic wind breaker.
Thanks for watching
I went there on Saturday with my mum and dad and it was really great to see the set and explore around the exterior set but it was a pity because it isn’t really real the set and I wanted to go inside everywhere but most of the houses and shops and the rovers return was closed with the doors locked too and I forget sometimes that the house interiors inside actually aren’t the interior of the insides and that they are filmed in the Manchester itv studios which is unfortunate a little bit
And so even if you did go in there would be just storage and I saw just mainly storage inside of the guild8nfs that had the clear window views or some windows to look through but I liked all the detail that was out into the set
But when you are watching the programme, it never always comes to mind about the editing too much and the continuity changes too but you can tell with continuity, especially with newer and older programmes sometimes, because of the clothing changes and the different footwear or hair being changed and styled differently and about some things altering in each scene perhaps.
Thanks for the comments, Benjamin
Can’t see why you can’t pop in to the Rovers for a quick half. Or a Bacon Barm cake at Roy’s . Would make it more interesting. What I did notice when I was on the tour in Kevin’s Garage they have no ramp , How did he get his MOT license. Also I wanted to look in underworld to see all the sewing machines. Not Allowed 🚫
£35 each adult. It's day light robbery!
Its expensive totally agree
I was able to see the interior sets at the granada studios tour
Yes that was disappointing
It looks big the studio
Where can you park when you visit?
Hi next door at the war museum or across the river at the shopping centre
Did you see the cast
No they were not doing it at that tine
After watching this i'm thinking of doing tours of my road.
"Welcome to Wingnut Crescent, At 17 you've got 'out-of-breath Jeff' and living next to him lives 'Pussy Galore' and her 5 cats. Her place was so bad even the council refused to go in.........Moving on .......no ignore the burning moped. Fire brigade will be here shortly. To your right you have number 5 where "Tales from the Crypt" lives....and yes people do go that pale when they havent seen daylight since 2009. Next door to him you have the 'not-wells'.
i wonder where the vehicles are stored for shots
There is massive car park within site
I only just filmed on corri again like 1 week ago
Excellent
sorry to say i don't think it's worth the money if there is no tour interior sets back at Granada it was open to the public
Hi Peter, totally agree I think if they could open backstage it would be amazing. Thanks for watching please subscribe if you’re not already done so we would very much appreciate it
Ps there are always lots of arguments as to how many bedrooms each house / flat has - did the guide know the answers ?
Not a question I asked but Michael was a great tour guide and knew his stuff
@@DarylPritchardvideos yes both you and Michael knew a lot of stuff !
Wow different to the tour I didon the older set about 6 years ago
Its good though
Yes I'm thinking I'd now like to do this tour, great video
@@Rosinamo5058 thanks so much
Imagine tripping and suen them haha
I do think it's very expensive for this.
It is but very worth it
What would you say would be a good price then?
@@PeteRumley i think around 20?
@@DarylPritchardvideos I've just checked and it's 28 quid? I think that's fair
@@PeteRumley agree
Why would I go on a tour of a Coronation Street where Else Tanner, Hilda, Stan, Eddie Yeats, Annie Walker, Len, Rita, Dierdre, Uncle Albert, Ray Langton, Mavis Riley, Alf, Renee, Emily, Betty, Bet, Fred Face, Mike, Bert, Suzy, Ivy, Brian, Curly, Vera Duckworth.... NEVER SET FOOT ON.
Lol good point
Nobody asked you to , other people are going this one to see where the new stars act on the new street

£35 no way I pay that
Watch it for nothing on you tube..they want £35 per person adult and £32,50 under 8 years old...what a RIP off..weve got better things to do for £70....sorry but it's a piss take
35 quid for a tour, its cheaper the break in and tour the place yourself...............
I was expecting it to be £135
