    I had the first 32/64 bit version of the JC NAND programmer that could do NANDs for up to 6S. It had an iPhone 6 AND an iPhone 6S motherboards inside with their NANDs removed and replaced with the fpc ribbon going to the zif socket.

      Do you have pictures of the internals?

    When you were talking about your habit of taking things apart, i thought you were talking about me lol :-D.
    I could not learn electronics the normal way, taking things apart was my only way.
    One day we had a visit from an auntie, she had brought a loverly reel to reel tape recorder for me to have, she said 'Take care of it wont you?' i said 'yes '...... hours later it was in a million parts, oops lol.
    We never told her lol.
    The shame is i was too young to be able to assemble it, if someone had thought and put the parts in a box for a few years i would have been able to reassemble it later.
    Funny and sad, but i loved taking things apart :-D
    I guess i have a learning problem, but i still repair things, so it worked :-D

    • @Wilson84KS
      @Wilson84KS 5 лет назад +1

      That's the way you learn it, first I didn't even think about build it back together, I only wanted to see what is inside and how it works, I took just everything apart that I got in my fingers, even matchbox cars, that never have anything interesting inside, I even cut a bear made from foam in half to see if there is something inside but this time I was very sad because I liked that bear very much, but my sister made a hole from the center to the mouth of the bear, sealed and glued everything together and my bear could drink and puke after that xD it was an olympia bear, we lived in Russia in those times, something around 1990, then we came to Germany and they had once a year all their stuff on the streets that they don't need, some people even cleaned it, even if they knew it will be picked up by a service by the state and shredded, the people was carrying it all outside atleast one week before and it was like a free flea market, everyone was walking around and watching but for me it was like paradise, sooo much stuff to take apart and then I started to build new things from that stuff, it was the time when kids got RC cars and threw away the cable cars and I had tons of them, nowadays this service is not like that anymore, you need to order and pay extra for it and when someone takes something from the pile it counts as theft, because this fu..ckers sell that stuff to be shredded and burned to make electricity with steam generators in year 2019 in that country that tells the whole world the have the most advanced technology, it was a non-profit company around 20 years ago and now pure greed got them too.

      Wilson
      Your sister should have been a doctor :-D, sounds like the bear was better than before :-D
      Toys that you could feed with fluid, that would have been expensive in it's day.
      The free items on the streets of germany sounded fantastic, i would have loved that at an early age :-D.
      I was the child that found a 22 inch screen colour tv made by telefunken and struggled to get it up a hill to my home, i would not give up.
      It had one of the 3 colours missing, and the inside was full of leds to show each power line working.
      I really enjoyed that old tv :-D.
      Yes the picking up of disgarded items in peoples skips is illegal in the uk, but there is nothing saying you cant ask the owner :-D.

    • @Wilson84KS
      @Wilson84KS 5 лет назад +1

      I can imagine how it looked like, the tv half as high as you and you carry it blindly only focused on not to fall forwards and backwards xD Because I carried also old PC's and that old AT stuff was very heavy, the empty housings alone was already heavy like hell.
      Yes, but when you order that you have to say what exactly you have and most people say no because they are afraid that they will need to pay any extra costs, it was best like it was before, because now people don't want to pay anything an dispose their stuff just everywhere, not very environment friendly, which is even understandable, because we already pay taxes for that, eves house owner pays for that and so everyone who rents a flat, but also that people count that stuff now as garbage, it also perverted the thinking about things, which is especially nowadays a problem, because people throw away everything as soon as it doesn't work anymore, but many things are easy to repair, many tv's just need a software reset, a reset on the eeprom, a new LED in the backlight, new caps or something like that, it's a shame that all this stuff ends up in flames. If I had the money I would rent a hall and let people leave their stuff there and btw they could take a look what other left, people do something like that again but very small, in some streets there are small piles of books and stuff that everyone can take, I think people do this nowadays in many countries, mostly students.

    • @zx8401ztv
      @zx8401ztv 5 лет назад

      Wilson
      lol yes that was me with the tv, also balanced the tv on top of peoples garden fences while i have a rest :-D
      I have spent years repairing things for people that could not afford new, often the item is deemed "impossible to repair", but they did not know how determined i was to make it work again.
      And the items were reliable, lasting 5 or more years, and by that time the owner could afford new.
      The pcb full of parts became my spares lol, recycling before someone invented the name some 30 years later :-D

    • @Wilson84KS
      @Wilson84KS 5 лет назад

      Hahaha, that's so funny, I really got that picture in my head xD
      Yes, me too, always for free, was good for my self-esteem and brought me a lot of respect, sure most peopel still gave me something, but that was not the point. Also the word 'refurbish', for how long is it used, maybe ten years? We did it all long time before someone with a lot of money could screw that what is behind this words up with abusing it for marketing. But today I do that only for friends but also for little money, somehow people feel uncomfortable if you don't take money, they won't come back, looks like they are afraid of owning me something, that I could come back and ask them for help, pretty strange times we live in.

    I've actually bought this and 2 modules and they've come in very handy after watching your videos. Also took one of the modules apart to see how it worked and found they use an iPhone 6 board inside. Pretty sure a lot of people would love to see the tear down of one of those modules ;)

    • @ststele
      @ststele  5 лет назад +1

      Woah, that’s really neat to know. I’m gonna have to tear into those modules! Finding an iPhone 6 board inside would be spectacular compared to only finding a custom board with an Arm processor like inside the JC Pro. Thanks for the info!

    • @highroyds
      @highroyds 5 лет назад

      @@ststele I couldn't believe it when I spotted it lol. They have their own logic board on the left side and the iPhone 6 on the right side with the Nand removed & pins linking up between the top side of where you put your Nand in.

    • @Wilson84KS
      @Wilson84KS 5 лет назад +1

      Yes, he only shows it how it looks like and say how he likes it, I can't see any problem there, no matter if it was sent for making advertisement or if he paid for it, because it is never advertisement, even if he would say this and that is great, he didn't show it in work, so who got a problem with it seriously can screw him- or herself, buying tons of useless crap and pay extra money just because they have seen that shit on tv but then complain about people unpacking and commenting stuff they got.

  • @ajjmunoz
    @ajjmunoz 5 лет назад

    quick question, will the jc pro 1000s provide you the ability to copy/paste NAND data to a 3rd party component (upgrading 16/32/64GB iphones into 256/512GB capacity)??

    • @ststele
      @ststele  5 лет назад

      Yes, but it only transfers low level system data. It doesn't transfer user data so it would be necessary to create a backup before swapping NAND to keep the data.

      supercrazymario404 all of them are expensive but it also depends from were are you buying. If you buy online it’s expensive but of you go to market shop its like 10-15% cheaper.

Not everyone thinks the same , or has a rational mind. Some people are simply crazy and in their own little world. No point in even trying to understand these idiots.
