The thumbnail is chaos, and it gets even better when you realize it was taken when she was running off screen to get Nutella (because she doesn't have cream) but she comes back with cream instead of Nutella
This 😂👏🏼💯
LMFAO I’m here sitting waiting for Nutella 😢💔
😆😂🤣
😂
I wanted Nutella 🤣🤣😅🤣
I absolutely loved it when Emmy yelled “Yo!” Just pure excitement there lol.
Sometimes that’s literally the ONLY reaction you can give, life of being a home baker when you’re surprised something actually worked 🤣
Loved it!! Emmy went Gangsta for a second!! 😂 Yo!! 😂
she channeled her inner middle school boy there lol
@@TheaCastles gangsta?
@@LindsayDaly haha exactly what I thought!
Emmy please don't change the thumbnail, it's absolutely perfect
This. 🤣
Yes!
The thumbnail brought me here faster than the title!!!
Agreed LMAO
She did 😭😭😭😭
Emmy, I discovered that if you put your milk in a Blender for 1 minute, it incorporates air and increases the volume almost by double. This recipe with the afor mentioned milk will make your Crepe thicker. 😋
I'm blown away by not just your success at this, but the fact you can make a crepe out of milk just by simmering it.
One of my favorite breakfasts is a “cream fried egg”. It’s basically a sunny side up egg cooked in cream instead of butter or oil. It gives the egg a delicious caramelized decadence that’s unlike any other egg I’ve ever had. I never thought to just cook the cream without the egg! I’ll have to give it a try
Are you referring to heavy cream?
That sounds amazing, I need to try it
@@RealBigBadJohnI’ve used both heavy cream and half & half
Oooooh!!!!! some dulce de Leche action?
Oh my goodness, that sounds delicious. 🤤
This seems like a great way to make a low carb crepe that I imagine would be great filled with savory fillings like spinach, mushrooms and cheese
Am I crazy or is Emmy a gold mine of unintentional ASMR?
Holy crepe. That "YO!" caught me off guard and started laughing haha.
In Oaxaca they make a burnt milk ice cream (nieve) called Quemada.
Very nice! My niece is allergic to eggs so I'm constantly in search of alternatives for her to enjoy.
You can try vegan pancakes, they only need milk, flour and a bit of baking powder. There are many videos that make it complicated but that's basically all you need
You can make crepé and pancakes without eggs easy
If I had a restaurant I'd make a one-ingredient dessert with this, dulce de leche and milk foam.
Emmy's pure joy when a recipe she's ready to fumble several times works perfectly the first time. When it actually goes exactly as it said it would. Excellent
That unedited thumbnail should be kept for how unexpectedly glorious to look at.
Her expression when the pancake lifts out is just classic I love it
To prevent separating cream into butter + buttermilk you can use a larger bowl with ice, salt and water below the bowl (metal is great for that) you are whipping the cream. You can beat it up for half hour and it does not separate (we made that mistake while actually trying to make butter years ago, had to let the cream warm up to separate 🤦🏻♂).
Lovely keto friendly idea! It just takes forever to prepare a single crepe. I wonder if using evaporated milk is faster (maybe half that time). 🤔
I'll try it, plus some egg white powder. Whip it first and see if I can get fluffy pancakes this way. 🥞
I love this one! My Mom used to make these, but hers had almost (almost) a sugary crisp finish. I'll be trying this one. You're good for my old heart.
That thumbnail though. Emmy going goblin mode for these crepes.
Once again, I’m amazed by your ability to describe what you’re tasting. I could almost taste it myself. That looks like a fun project to try!
That thumbnail is pure gold.
Finally, a recipe I have the ingredient for!! 😂
That was the most amazing thing I've seen in a while, Emmy. 😀 And your love of strawberries matches my own! My favorite time of year is when the strawberries come into season. I could eat an entire flat of them!
Right? I feel like there are a ton of dads like me who want to try this for Christmas morning...many will fail, some of us will be harbingers of the next phase of Christmas Breakfast fads because of that one year that Dad made these, and they were rad.
Your descriptions are absolutely incredible. Thank you!
I loveeee her videos...she is the BEST ASMR ever! Her voice is the most soothing on RUclips! And her happy energy is everything I need!
Your videos always make me so happy. ☺️ I was actually surprised this worked, and by your reaction so were you!
Ur the only one from food youtubers that write only 1 ingredient and being true! 😮
omg my gosh i thought for a second you had started OPEN CAPTIONING your vids. i have diminished hearing and ALWAYS appreciate OPEN CAPTION! it is very different than closed caption because it is ACCURATE! as you already know closed caption can be wrong. imagine it being your only source! i always ask all my fav youtubers to OPEN CAPTION. yes it is more editing for you, and im sorry to ask. but doing this will open your audience range exponentially! PLEASE CONSIDER!
but i will always love you!! thank you for your time!!!
love the energy in this 😆
Emmy will you teach us how to make those discontinued party mints? They were like colourful butter mints that looked a bit like a Hershey's kiss in shape with all these vibrant shades. They were called Misty Mints
Were they pastel pink and green coloured?
Are they from hickory farms?
Melty Mints Nonpareil Mint Drops?
They don't make those anymore? They do still have a version that is peppermint striped ones that come individually wrapped.
I believe they were called Merrimints. Pastel green, yellow, and pink.
That "yoooo" was everything.
That Thumbnail! What a masterpiece. Absolutely made my day!
What was it??
I made this milk pancake once by accident by forgotting the milk in the pan simmering while trying to make something else...was kinda chaos in my kitchen😅 I threw it out as I didn't know I could eat it though😳
Wow, I did not expect it is possible to make a crepe like this. Surprising, thank for showing us.
I cook my pasta in milk and I don't usually bring it to the temperature of when I'd boil water because of how quickly it will "puff," and overflow the pot very quickly when it starts. I still put it at a boil, but not as much or for as long, and I have to pay attention to it more to adjust accordingly.
Completely eliminates the "water pasta" taste I've had even with tasty roux, and plus, when I cook with milk I don't need another pot or to drain. :)
very cool!
That thumbnail is awesome 😂 please never change it, it's literal perfection and perfectly chaotic lol
She changed it and now im curious :(
What was it??!
@@laurenanderson7330 it was just a shot from the video where she had her arms raised in excitement because the recipe worked
Cool idea! I am hoping there will be more Bee and honey videos come Spring. Those videos inspired me to start a hive. My kiddos love it. I am allergic to Bee stings. However I refused to let that stop me. I keep an Epi Pen in my bee suit pocket at all times. I am so comfy around them that I have bot been stung even once. If it happens I have the pen. The honey and supporting a small colony is a risk I am happy taking.
Emmy you hit a home run, the very go TAH DAH ! Looks yummy with cream and strawberries. Thank you for sharing this with me.
Love watching the end, especially how I can almost see Emmy's brain gears turning when she wants to describe food. Love the adjectives she chooses!!! Loved this video especially the science behind it! Awesome, can't wait to try it!!!
loving this energy already lol
Emmy always has the best reactions. LLove your videos 😁
it's been so long since I las watched your channel! I'm so excited!
Your time stamps are for the tastee cheese video. Confused me at first lol. Love your videos!
What amazes me is 2 things: 1) The milk didn't stick and scorch even with non-stick skillet and 2) It actually worked with American milk because whole milk in most countries is 38-52% milk fat. American whole milk is only 3% which means you're paying for 97% WATER. And people wonder why I mostly use half and half instead of whole(10-20% fat usually)
THE TIME STAMPS OMG
Is the description supposed to have Tastee cheese chapters in it?
I'm so excited to try this. I love crepes and have never been able to nail them!
1 cup flour to 1 cup milk to 1 cup eggs, a couple tbsps of melted butter.
What happens you make crepes?
@@theclimbingchef I just can't ever seen to get them to stay together/not rip without them going too dark. I need to fuss with the amounts of batter and things like that and invest in a crepes only pan and spatula. I have a family who commits batter-y (sorry, that was a bad pun) on my kitchenware.
@@Kree.B. ah, I think I hear ya. Your Teflon pan is scratched?
Try using a French steel pan which can be found at your local kitchen/restaurant store or on Amazon. Don't worry about the super expensive ones. I bought mine and the restaurant I chef at, like $10 ea. Look for the Johnson rose brand. Season it like a cast iron pan. These pans are great for stir frying, omelets, crepes, searing meat, etc.
Your batter should have enough butter that you only need to butter the pan once.
And turn down your heat
I saw the thumbnail and went “yeah, Emmy had a moment, and I need to know which Emmy moment she had” 🤣🤣🤣
That "YOOOOO" made my whole week!
Milk is one of the few things I can digest. I will definitely be making this at some point.
Your reaction was just so wholesome.
Midnight Emmy? I see, and this really is the perfect sort of "midnight recipe" too
I did this and it was so cool and interesting in flavor and texture. I look forward to trying more fillings.
6:35 "While I go get some Nutella. I don't have any whipped cream"
**comes back with cream and no Nutella**
Emmy: “I’m gonna go get some Nutella. I don’t have any whipped cream but I do have Nutella.”
Also Emmy: *decides to make whipped cream and doesn’t bring out the Nutella*
😂😂
Always appreciate a well-placed Beavis and Butt-Head reference.
I have one of those things that you put cold cream, sugar, and vanilla in and twist on a nitro cartridge and voila whipped cream when you pull the trigger.
Oh my gosh this looks so cool! I want to do it with my kids
I'm definitely going to be making crepes. Too easy not to - so no more excuses. I'm thinking a filling of lemon whipped cream and blueberries. Mmmm. Thank you, Emmy!
Lemon and blueberry sounds delicious!
Im not positive that being out of one ingredient automatically means its an easiest recipe.
@@edwardhisse2687 it's easier than actual crepes
and you kinda just try not to let it boil over. everyone who has tried to reheat milk knows how to do this, but here's a hint: reduce the heat 😐
emmy tried to separate the crepe from the pan, but like actual crepes you probably don't have to. it releases when it deems you and the crepe worthy
@@nodezsh actual crepes are more forgiving. You don't have to have the perfect pan or take so much care in removing it from the pan or putting a bend in it before it cools down.
This wasn't an easy cooking recipe it was a cooking flex
That sounds delicious
I love that you pronounced crepe properly. It’s “crep” not “crape,” folks!
Yes! 🇫🇷
But what about the Nutella? Never mind, I can (and will) figure it out! I have always been frustrated by what to do with excess milk, which for me is usually all but a cup or two. Perfect solution, thank you, Emmy. Thanks also to the commenter who gave the tip on creamy sunny side up eggs-yesss.
I'm going to be honest, I didn't think this would work, but I should've known better than to doubt you, Emmy. That looks amazing - it reminds me of like a pancake wafer appearance wise if that makes sense.
Also I know it's made of whole milk but I wonder if I want to try this, but I wonder if I would feel sick if I ate it (I'm lactose intolerant).
Use lactose free whole milk?
I did not expect how beautifully golden brown and crisp this would turn out! I was surprised this was even possible... might have to try it
You are not alone. I have to mess with things too. 😂😂
I love this corner of the internet sm. So cozy and positive. ☺
Ohhh! Looks yummy!
Love the thumbnail lol
Best thumbnail ever
Omg😂😂😂 the “yoooo” I love this channel!
🧡
The thumbnail is 👌 don't change it! It got me to click this video so fast lol
I didn’t think this was possible when I saw the video title and thumbnail… but you proved me wrong!
I know everyone is raving about the thumbnail as am I thank you.
I love the thumb for this video, it's pure joy 😁
If someone wants to attempt making this but has a fear of the milk completely bubbling over, put a wooden spoon over the pan. It helps keep the milk to pan-level boiling point
The thumbnail...
Awesome 😁😁😁🤩🤩🤩
Emmy!!!! Love you, sis!! 💜
I love that YOOOOO!!!!! Yes ma'am, I see you Emmy. Makin more miracles in the kitchen as usual. Luv it 💓
when i worked in a french coffee shop they always called em cray p'sss.
Best reaction ever when it came out!
My guess is that other non-dairy options don't work because here you're evaporating all the water out and browning and caramelizing the remaining milk solids.
“I saw on the ticky tocks” feels like something a grumpy old man three times your age would say.
I wonder if it'd work with buttermilk and how the taste would differ?
I am shocked and can't wait to try it.
i might actually try this
it looks like the video chapters are from a different video! regardless, great video as always, love you!!
I love the thumbnail of the video... made me laugh with a smile
...mind blown...tfs! ⭐️🎄❄️
A tik tok food video that wasn't fake. As far as I'm concerned, this is a gift from God and we're witnessing a miracle! 😭
I once forgot i was heating up milk in a pot on the stove. When i came back the milk had turned into a perfect round golden brown dome from the edge of the pot. It turned hard, you could not push it in without braking it.
This was so intriguing to watch, thank you Emmy!
That "yooooo" was everything lol
Iconic!!!!
The thumbnail exudes chaos and I love it
Fun fact: you can also do this with soy milk!!!
6:15 THAT "YOOOOO" was so unexpected but so welcome
This is like one of those classic let RUclips pick the thumb nail, thumbnails 😂 is like you're doing Kermit the Frog
“YOOO.”
Love it !
Emmy your timestamps are incorrect again. They are for your dollar store Jamaican taste test video 2 weeks ago. This seems to be a recurring issue.
you should totally try this wine pie
I love when @emmymade yells Yooooo! Her excitement is contagious 😍
6:15 YOOOOOO! Awesome as usual! Emmy, please do water kefir, it's naturally bubbly, healthy, and sooooo tasty! It's seriously a grown up soda...
