Bisquick had a bunch of these impossible pies to eat at different times of the day. All of them were quick to mix up and pretty kid friendly. Most kids would love the thought of a cheeseburger pie.

Bisquick's "Impossibly Easy Ham and Swiss Pie" with slight alterations has been the go-to breakfast "quiche" in my family for decades. Easy, little mess, and delicious!
I remember my mom making this for me as a kid! She used a rectangular casserole pan though, and used less milk in the batter so that the "crust" of the pie would crisp up more on the bottom and be more fluffy and dry in the middle since the leftover juices from the hamburger are going to be soaking into your bisquick mixture.
My mother had a hysterectomy when I was in the seventh grade and she could not cook for us for almost a month. We make these in a large dutch oven and cook them with the lid on for the first 20 minutes. The bisquick sets up more this way and makes more of a biscuit on the bottom. I like to take the lid off and then put enchilada sauce and cheese on top for 5-10 minutes.
@@2degucitas when it cooks a little more and actually sets up, it comes out much easier. Plus, i just use a large buffet spoon. I dont worry about keeping it in a pie slice shape so it isnt as big a deal.
We also always did it in a Dutch oven...cast iron and my mom used to add Italian dressing in with the hamburger and onions while frying. Gave it such a good flavor!! I’m definitely trying your enchilada version, sounds yummy. 😊
Way back in the dark ages, aka the 1970's, my mother would make this. She would brown the meat until it developed a dark, but not burnt coating on the meat, and then do the same to the onions, making them almost caramelized. Then she'd do the Bisquik. I just made this and it's great! I added 1/2 cup chopped pickles after the onion and meat were cooked. I also just poured the batter over the meat in the cast iron skillet and baked it in the skillet. No need to wash another pan! Since the skillet is already hot, it only takes about 15 minutes to cook.
My beloved mother made these when I was a kid way back in the 1980s. I always enjoyed them, but I haven't had one in years. I should make one up some night: they were always a quick weekday night dinner. Thanks for bringing back such sweet memories.
Bisquick had several versions of this pie that they put on the back of the box back in the day. The one my mom made and I still make till next this day does not have tomatoes on top. It is very similar though. The difference is that you add some frozen or canned veggies in with the ground beef and the cheese is mixed in. I always season the ground beef and add minced garlic when browning it. It is pretty tasty served with a bit of ketchup. This looks really good!

Get this person's request up to the top!
😜 Thanks Emmy. I have made impossible quiches using bacon or sausage. They are really good. I also love impossible pie with or without coconut.
My mom made this when I was little... oh my goodness the memories!!! And yes she got it from the back of the Bisquick box!!
New binge emmymade so much good content
I always wondered why I didn't cry while cutting onions before and now I do... I used to always wear contacts and now I don't...

Amazing recipe emmy 🤩👏
Where did the two hamburgers go to dance?
*The meatball* 🤪
@Ba Gawk lol 😂
Cheeseburger Pie is a staple at our house. I've made it both the "impossible" way and with a pre-made crust. Both are delicious!
This looks amazing!😋🍔🥧
This looks so good! Tried to use your link for the book, but it was sold out by the time I clicked checkout three seconds later! Still ordered a used copy. Sometimes I like used books better; especially recipe books, on the chance there may be notes!
We made this from the recipe on the box but we used a little less milk and topped it with bacon and French fries onions. It was really good. Now I'm going to have to make one. Thanks Emmy. Happy Cooking.
I used to watch this channel RELIGIOUSLY, i was completely obsessed and would watch the same videos repeatedly. Recently I was watching an anna oop video and saw the face of emmy. I was sooo confused her face was freakishly familiar and I knew i used to be obsessed to watch japanese candy taste tests. popin cookin, you name it. So i look up japanese candy taste test and scrolled for a while and I found your account and couldn’t be happier! I’m so glad you’re still active and doing well!
This was popular when I was growing up. It was a time when we went on picnics and had potlucks. It seems like someone always brought this dish to a potluck or a picnic. I miss those days. One my favorite dishes. It brings back wonderful memories 💜
I put cheese in my batter before I pour it over the beef. Makes it so much better and firmer.
I just love you emmy!!! You are so dagum adorable and I love your videos !! So neat!
I love Emmy's videos, they're so fun
You been popping up in my FB feeds, and now I’m glad to find you on RUclips. Sorry I’m late.
I love making this for my family for dinner it's so fast and easy. Plus I never thought of adding tomatoes such a good idea.
I remember finding this recipe on the back of a Bisquick box when I was like 5 or 6 years old. It was one of the first meals I ever learned how to make. It's where I learned to brown ground beef, and how to operate an oven.
The Impossible Cheeseburger Pie recipe has been a staple in my family for decades. It is very tasty and the nieces and nephews all requested it whenever I had them for the weekend.
We like impossible bacon pie in the wintertime. We usually have a cup of broccoli soup on the side :-)...very interesting comments about your hens, I’m glad you give them a rest. Love your channel!
Omg! My grandma use to make this for me all the time. Thank you for bringing me back!! 💜
Wow I love your cooking I've got to start making some of this stuff
Buttermilk is my absolute favorite!!! My Grandmother and Mother both made buttermilk pies from scratch. But when Mom started teaching me how to bake as a small child I started with Impossible Pies! Chocolate is awesome too!
I love this! My mom used to make it all the time when I was a kid. Try adding a can of diced green chiles to it. Its so good
This looks delicious! Thank you Emmy for blessing us with more pie 🥧 ❤️
Pretty sure I saw Emmy on tv the other day Keep up the good work!
If you would like to stop warp to cutting boards try using walrus oil to treat prior to use it does seem to help keep moisture down and wood well.
Love this stuff. My mom made it a few times, but it was popular when I was a teen and many people made it.
