Scorcese never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
Scorsese is absolutely an amazing film maker but he’s kind of a huge asshole too
@@AWMK101 I don’t know never met him but honestly he’s been famous for around fifty years and being a director he’s use to having his way and being one of the best directors ever he’s used to his way being right. So I’m sure he can come off as a dick at times I can’t honestly say I would be different I haven’t had that experience.
Also not mentioned was it was originally hard to pitch the pilot / series as many networks didnt think suburb NJ mobsters would be believable as opposed to the NY city
Word to the wise....learn to pronounce the cast member names correctly...
Fucking A! Could really do some research into simple things
No one pronounces them properly not even the actors.
Steve Buscemi himself said he only learn how to pronounce his name properly when he visited Sicily.
Hes a clown
Remember pearl Hahbah
Who the fuck cares how he pronounces is, did you know who he was talking about? Then there shouldn’t be an issue past that. Something sus as fuck about another man worrying about how one man pronounces words
Theres no scraps in my scrapbook
Paulie ratted to Johnny on Ralph. Ratting is ratting
It was more gossiping than ratting, Paulie could never keep his mouth shut.
@Axiom Steel ratting to the feds is at least to save your skin. Betraying just to gossip and start trouble seems worse.
I in fact knew all 40 quite well ;)
cool bro
@@maff1989 Great. So he's taking advice from a 2 time loser
They wanted to replace jamie Lynn with a blonde girl on season 1 episode 4 i think but they didn't want to pay for reshoots with the new actress so Jamie continued playing meadow

With a a Virginia ham under one arm complaining that he’s got no bread
Haha
Through his veil of tears
A great shinebox Carries him
I always felt that Adrianna would’ve known better after everything she saw & heard.
Personally I would’ve liked if she had followed Christopher saw his car at Tony’s and then just drove off into the unknown. 🤷🏻♀️
(But then again i’m not David Chase & he’s certainly doing a hell of a lot better in life than I!)
#41.- The best grilled cheese if off a Radd-iator.
The first “fact” is not accurate. Michael Franzese as said many times that that’s just not true. He’s be at BBQs with bosses all the time they’d be wearing shorts on a hot day.

OOOOH! Get the Cineranter a soft drink of choice!
Hey CineRanter! You have a bee Ona you hat 🐝 🧢
I wondered about that mugshot in the bing for literally the entire series. Interesting to know it’s Sinatra, and that’s yet another example of the sopranos hinting at connections between Frankie and the mob
This is really blowing my mind that many people didn’t know that was Sinatra or had never saw that mug shot! I’ve always thought that was one of the more famous pictures of Frank.
Maybe it’s just because I’m from the Northeast and Italian 🤷🏻♀️😂
The best part is what he was charged with. Quite good actually. Definitely worth a little research
Screw it, it was for Seduction
4:15 crazy how different Gandolfini is when he's not Tony, he seemed like a teddy bear with a great sense of humor
Your fact #11 is the exact reason for why I didn't even considered watching it when it aired on TV. I think the series was over before I borrowed season 1 on DVD from my mate and started to watch. I was hooked immediately and I have re-watched the whole series 5-6 times and I will watch it many more. The best show ever.
Ray Liotta was never offered the role of Tony Soprano. That's an urban myth debunked by Liotta, himself. He was, however, offered the role of Ralphie.
I can't see him as ralphie hes.. hmm idk too polished and refined to play such a unhinged character
@@whitegluestick6039 Ray Liotta could've only played an american version of Furio. But hey, at least he got double-casted in Many Saints of Newark.
If those wise guys lived in Texas, they would’ve been wearing shorts lol
Scorcese's eyebrows have their own zip code!
You got the name wrong Sir, it wasn’t Anthony Borgese who played Larry Barese. It was Tony Darrow
The craziest thing about this show, was that Silvio was played by Bruce Springsteen’ guitar player.
The very first time someone ever mentioned “you have to watch this show on HBO called The Sopranos” I literally thought it was a show about Opera. Until they went on to explain obviously 😂
Well done sir. I knew some of these facts (being a fan and all), but most I did not know. 👏
I'm so glad u guys make these videos.
Wow, I’d like to see those alternative scenes that were filmed!
Still trying to find Anthony Borgese's anti-mafia PSA.
The salary dispute James had didn't end because James game them each $33,000, he gave the cast members the money after the dispute was over as thanks for their patience during the dispute.
THANKFULLY the casting went the way it did!!! Not saying bracco and liota in goodfellas 2.0 wouldn't a been awesome in its own right. But im not sure it woulda had the same level of cultural impact AND we wouldn't have all got gandolfinis masterpiece of acting!(at least in the form we all know)
All that not to mention the impact on TV and cinema this series had as is.
"Today's golden age of television" LMAO
Yesterday, I just watched the last episode of The Sopranos. Today I start watching The Sopranos again. 😁

No shineboxes were harmed in the varsity makings of the sopranos
1. Sopranos
2. The Wire
3. Boardwalk Empire
@Bad Hombre I totally forgot about OZ.
Awesome !! Do you think some day we might be able to watch all those extra storylines that they cut out ??
That would totally be a fantastic idea with how it could of gone off in many different directions.
