I saw Sixx:A.M. a few years back and I prayed so hard they would play this. When they did, the tears, goosebumps and all emotion just poured out. No band that I've ever seen had ever done that to me in my life. DJ was so friendly, he came over to the crowd outside prior to performing. Signed autographs, took pictures with fans. Just a sweet human being with a love for not only his music, but performing for fans and seeing the reactions on our faces. He's just an amazing Man, reason he's well loved.
Not sure what to think. Sixx:A.M shows TREMENDOUS versatality in covering an 80s ballad, turning into one kick-ass power ballad. To call it unique is as best as can be done. They took a song that everyone from the 80s knows, added their own flavor, put a shit-ton of energy into it, and absolutely OWNED their cover. I've listed to covers by Ziggy Marley, Deftones, Scorpions, and Sixx:A.M. - each one done in the performers individual style, but this one is so much more. Hope to see them on tour sometime. MASSIVE....just MASSIVE!
I was at this concert itself. iHeart theatre in Burbank CA (old Jay Leno studio). Was an amazing concert. I gained a lot of respect for Nikki Sixx that night. He's a good bass player.
Everything about this cover is amazing. My favorite part is when Nikki Sixx smiles at the end. I feel like he loves what he does and he knows they just nailed it. \m/

And I agree and right now Axl Rose and guns n' roses are having fun but yet everybody puts them down for it. They're not allowed to have fun they're only allowed to put out loud ear piercing grinding vocals. Everybody that complains about his Mickey mouse voice ought to look up some of the other songs that he does within his register that is absolutely phenomenal. I really liked when DJ was with Guns and roses he gave it a flare that it did not have. Ashba is definitely one of a kind as is my slash but that is open to interpretation lately. For somebody so pro he's making a lot of mistakes for even the untrained ear. This band is lovely but it's just a little too slow for me. And Sixx looks shell shocked, not happy shell shocked. Stoned almost. So this is just how I see it I'm not saying that this is how it is I'm sure things are different than what I interpret. I also seem to see a lot of similarities between ashba and Slash. The hat, the tattooing on the stomach, and most definitely mannerisms all of a sudden is exact same thing on both slash and Ashbad. Is one trying to be the other and or vice versa?
I think Mr. Sixx's look at the end shows that unexplainable natural high that a performer gets perhaps bewilderment, a temporary good misunderstanding of what is happening....Boyz did good....fantastic service.....Thank you.....😀
If they would have done the studio cover more like this it would not have been an over produced piece of garbage. Great going guys, still showing that even though the older songs were not written to ever do live you are great enough to do just that. ROCK IT

I finally listened to the Cars version of this song, and I like this version better. Of course I am a fan of Sixx:AM, so I am biased here. I like the way the piano drives this song. With Nikki it would have been easy to go that route. This decision was what sets it apart. Great song here...you guys never disappointed me!
As I commented somewhere else I tried to like six and I tried to like this song. There Is No edge, it is soft. And I came here to check it out because I like DJ Ashba. I will continue to watch Ashba but I have no desire to see Sixx. And I personally liked it better when the Cars did it.
