Hi. Tx for the video. I am an independent contractor hairstylist and nothing in the salon carries my business name. Google is not verifying me after video and videochat attempts. Any idea? Thank you
I don't believe you can verify as an independent contractor inside someone else's shop.
how would i go about putting an address if for example you don't provide service in that specific address but you do in the whole county such as a lawn care company? I'm currently in the process of disputing it now. I want my company to appear in maps but i don't want people knowing my personal address. Thanks
Hi Javier, you must provide an address to order to verify and go live with your Google Business Profile. However there is an option to Hide your residential address so customers don't know where you live. Make sure you list your county and towns in the Service Areas section so that Google will let viewers know you service the entire county.
I was not given post card option. Only video. I’m confused as to what exactly I’m supposed to be videoing.
Hi Naomi, with Video Verification Google wants to confirm that you are actually doing business at the address you provided (even if it is a hidden address). You will need to video the street, the entrance with the address number showing and the inside of your workspace or office. It's always good to have something with your logo on it like business cards or invoices. If you can display your city business license that will help as well.
@@JoeBurnich ok. I started a junk removal and hauling service. I’m BRAND new and rent a truck and trailer as I get jobs. I don’t have a location aside from my home. You cannot see my street sign from my home. Also says they want to see my equipment but I do not have any. What do you suggest I do? Thank you in advance

Google support is no help. I’m dealing with them as we speak and they are clueless . I’ve been going back and forth with them for almost 3 weeks and nothing has been resolved !as info I don’t have the postcard option only video verification and that is hard to follow

Are you 100% sure this is a legit address that meets Google's guidelines? No PO Box, no shared office, no virtual office, etc. Have you requested a video verification? Here is how: ruclips.net/video/7GwnuPWWZ9k/видео.html
I have a roofer client that no longer works from old location or has the phone number listed. What are your thoughts? Contacting Google has been a dead end.
If you have login access to the account, you can just change the address location. If you don't have access then there isn't anything you can do. If no access: Can they reset the password? Do they no longer have the email it was set up with?
@@JoeBurnich It's such a mess. He still had the email address, but that's it. His email hasn't been an option to verify the profile. I started a new profile from scratch and all was going well until I contacted Google and told them I wanted the original taken down for all the reasons. They said they couldn't because there were 2 reviews. Then without warning, they merged the profiles since I called them and informed them it's the same business!! THIS SUCKS and is a warning to others.

Hello, I’ve tried to upload a video verification twice and I e still have not heard anything from google yet. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Added my physical address for verification but dont really want my home address shown. Is there any way I can just have my local small town as tagged and not have my physical address listed. Yes you have the option to hide your address if you deliver your services to customers.
I need to verify a GMB but it is only giving me the email option. I no longer have access to that email address as it belongs to prior management/owners of the company. What can I do?

Hey Joe, great video! I created a business profile a couple of weeks ago. I don't recall whether I chose a verication when setting up. The option isn't availabe anywhere in my profile. When i went to the gethelp option, the business shows that is verified with the green check mark. So does this mean there are no further steps i need to take?
It should be good to go, but most of the time they now require a video verification. Strange.

Ok....I own a towing company....Just one truck! I have no physical address....I just tow vehicles, and get them where ever they need to go! It's asking for video verification! Why??? What do I do?? How do I do this?? I already have my company listed under the same address as my other company on state website when I made the company....Do I just use my my home address that's on Google?? Do I use address I used that's on state website?? I don't know what to do!! 🤦
Hi Mr. Davis, you will need to use your home address and then hide it if you don't want it visible to the public. The home address should match the address on the state website. You will want to get that changed. Separate out your different businesses so they have different addresses on Google and on the state website. I hope that helps.
Hi Joe, I have. Question about video verification. How long this video should lasted? I mean how many minutes? The matter is that I was trying to download a video I took there is saying: TRY AGAIN. What do I do wrong ?
There is no set time limit. The file size may be too big. See if you can downgrade the video quality on your phone settings. If that doesn't work, ask Google for a LIVE video verification.
I've been trying for 2 months! Google doesn't reply, and the video won't upload. This is a nightmare. The postcard is no longer an option. I've asked multiple times for a phonecall, never happened.
If everything is legit, I would get on the support forum and work with a Google Product Expert.
Whenever I want to verify my GMB by calls or text, it doesn't give me code. Pls can you help me out?

Tommy, you will probably fine to set it up now, but if you want to be safe I would wait for the sign.

Thanks for your video. I have a Fishing Charter company that doesn't want to use their personal address for the GBP, other fishing charters use the dock store where they push off but those companies don't have mail boxes or mail sent to that store. Yet, those Companies have GBPs with the dock address. How is this accomplished?
Hi Andre, I have never heard of that. As far as I know you must have an address that can receive mail.
I need to use a home office that many other realtors use. Will that cause me to not rank because others are also using this?
If you have a Suite # inside that office you should be fine.
Google is not giving the option for mail verification only video verification. How can I get the mail verification option?

Hey Joe, thanks for ALL this amazing info. I received an email from google payments regarding the google account I began. will filling out this form be a continuation of the verification process? I believe they suspended my account temporarily. They are asking for photo id and utility bill showing name and address. it says they will contact me by email once they've verified the information. I'm wondering if this does not have to do with GMB profile, I did begin filling out the process for google ads but did not finish it as it asked me for payment info at the end. I hope this makes sense as I am a little lost right now.
Hi Norma, the Google Ads and Google Business Profile are different completely platforms and one should not effect the other.
I have never been offered a Verfication on my Google Profile.
However, my profile has a blue check mark and my company also appears in Google maps. Do I still need to verify it?

Everytime i get a verification code from the mail and type it in it accepts the code and then says not verified you are suspended now i tried abot 5 times and i can never get verified

I'm trying to get GBP verification for a business site that I'm building for a contractor. I live in Ga. the site will be in South Carolina, how can I get the GBP verified. I will own the site and basically I'll "rent" it out to the contractor.

Virtual offices are not permitted by Google. They want a real address. Keep in mind, you can hide it from the public.

The only option I have is to do a video. I want the postcard. The workaround for this is an absolute pain in the ass. Google can't even be reached via phone which is the worst kind of customer service ever. i can't put in my webpage cause I purchased my domain name via google and need to get verified before I can start working on my page. What a circus....
Google is no longer doing postcards. 85% of verifications are video now.

Hi Danay, I no longer use Clickfunnels. It doesn't make sense for my business as I need a platform to include CRM and robust billing. I now use Keap. It has a lots of issues, but is the only software I found that does what I need.
