You're right
Not that I'm a spokesman for our WWI ancestors, but a man in a trench in 1918 might not have liked being blown away.
Now, mildly amused.. Quite chuffed, perhaps?
I am a french teacher in a town near Dun-sur-Meuse, it is actually very eerie seeing a footage made there during WW1. The whole northern Meuse department is covered by military cemetaries, forts and trenches from the Great War and I feel men like him stayed as ghosts there.
I believe you
Hi from Vicenza,Italy. About 40 km from here, in the Alpes and Dolomites there was the front line during the Great war between Italy and Austria. A lot of cemetries in the mountains, forths and trenches, so many young men died for some km more or less for Italy. You can still find some remainings of soldiers and weapons under the earth. I also believe that some souls are still out there.

To a certain extent, I agree. The amount of people who get unnecessary plastic surgery nowadays is ridiculous. You can thank social media for that. But then of course, you also have the delusional body positivity people who completely contradict that trend and have instead embraced total apathy regarding their appearances. Ironically, social media is to blame for that as well.

Mr. Breach lived a life that transversed so much; A culmination of events that would be hard to ever imagine without but brought us to here now.
Born in 1888 he likely road horses to commute, used an outhouse in the back yard for the restoom, read by candle light after dark. As a young man he saw rudimentary airplanes take to the skies, Houses bagan to become electrified, bathroom moved inside with plumbing, Gas cars took to the streets, roads paved, WWI, WWII et al, atomic energy discovered, released, harnessed, aircraft grew bigger and bigger until the modern commercial jets took to the skies, Humans took to space and orbited the planet. What a life to see all that.
So much change. I am sure he enjoyed his journey from 1888 to 1965. Just look at that smile!

I thought of my grandmother, born in 1912, so smart she graduated at age 16, only to marry a man 10 years older and begin farming...had her 1st child in a log cabin, 2nd child in a farmhouse w no electricity, and finally my mother in Gardena, CA, in the mid 40s, leaving farming behind. My uncle, the eldest, was 18 yrs older than my mom and lived thru the depression to become wildly successful, 3 homes and a plane, a travel writer w his wife. He also wrote about cars and airplanes as an expert in his field; previously was a print model, a bit actor, as a young man. My grandmother, and her children, were beautiful.
But she got sick in the 60s and my grandfather didn't like to waste money on doctors. She died of breast cancer at 55, 10 yrs before I was born.

Good old ignorant comments back at it again.
No front teeth but yet one of the brightest smiles I ever saw. I don't know why but this guy looks so innocent to me. Maybe it was just an innocent time. Regardless he looks like he has not a care in the word. Just having a good time in a good place.
God bless you Private James R. Beach. Thank you for the sacrifices you've made. Thank you for your service to our country and thank you for my freedom.
He didn’t really fight for our freedom. The Germans weren’t after us.
Lovely smile. RIP and thank you for your service😇
Yes stew, great line but sad. Hope he is in heaven.
He seemed like a nice guy.
Real talk it's far from lovely 😂 half his teeth are missing 😅
For his land white land
Take a look at the world today...winners🤷♂️

Я бы хотела попасть в прошлое, чтобы увидеть своих предков, побыть с ними мгновение, прожить с ними бесценные минуты.
Yes, yes exactly, well said thank you
I would like to know my ancestors.
Maybe one day you will 🙏
Wouldn't that just be so amazing!?
You are the product of your ancestors hard work and willingness to survive. Never forget that and make sure to pass it on. Why else are we here if not to procreate and honor our G-d and our ancestors hardwork
My grandfather served in WW1 with the French Foreign Legion, although he was from Indiana. He brought home souvenirs from the battlefield which were in the attic of his garage ( helmet, grenade, knives, etc). He lived to be 101 yrs old (1897-1998). However he never spoke about the war with his grandchildren.
Looks like a nice friendly guy😂
He was so happy to be on camera, and as it would appear, that someone would take the time to care about him. God Bless all of our warriors throughout the ages. It’s to bad people don’t realize what it takes.
God bless you! Jesus Christ loves you always! Have a fantastic day Joshua !
His smile. Haven't seen one so nice in ages
Warms my heart seeing how humans are essentially the same through out history it’s comforting
Im glad he made it home 🏡 safe. He looks so happy ❤ sad he died at the age of 76. Bless his heart🕊🕊🥹
Man, i can't get enough of these. Absolutely love them
What a great moment. I kind of want to see the other people he’s laughing with, but he himself is mesmerizing!
Il imite Charlie Chaplin
@maorasher11 it actually the other way round
A gentleman and a soldier and a hero to so many . No general can out rank this private.
