If Democrats vote Blue no matter what then pick a younger more well spoken candidate. We need to get the independents and people on the fence to supper democracy.
I vote democrat, and even when Biden was nominated in 2020, I didn't understand it. I remember seeing him win SC and NC, which basically called the primary race, and being stunned at his avalanche victory in the primaries there. I still don't get it. I have a hard time understanding how the south votes in general, I guess.
Biden has his benefits, and his record would indicate he's a good leader in the white house. But I also think there are other democratic candidates out there who are obviously better in terms of popular appeal, and who could act as a stronger foil to Trump. Yet, here we are. Trump, a convicted felon found liable of sexual assault and fraud, will win the election.
I'm reminded of all those comments I read in the wake of the Israeli strikes in Gaza, where people where going, "yeah, Gazans lost their democracy under hamas, but this is what they voted for. Gazans freely chose Hamas." I'm seeing similar comments chiding Argentina, too. One wonders if they'll be saying the same things about us, after Trump is in power again.

I think people are overreacting to his stutter. If you know someone with a stutter, especially a senior, this just isn't a big deal. But people judge your intelligence by how you speak. If these two candidates to write a paragraph, we'd see a gap in favor of Biden, since Trump writes at a sixth grade level. I remain confused as to why people are so surprised about Biden's flubbing. It's not like this stated yesterday. It's been going on for years.
Being a good debater doesn't really have any connection to be a good president. Trump "won" debates with Hillary by flouridly lying, and was among the worst presidents in modern history.

Trump failed to.state he would accept the election results in 2020. He never accepted those results.
At the debates, Trump talked around the question without a reply. The pattern exists that he won't accept the election results unless he wins.

The Democrats & the media should invoke the 25th Amendment.
The 25th Amendment requires the Vice President and a majority of Cabinet. Democrats could _lobby_ for Biden to resign voluntarily, or for the above people to remove him from office. But they can't invoke it themselves if Kamala Harris and/or Cabinet don't want to.
If Democrats wanted to replace Biden, it'd make more sense to do so at the national convention, i.e. by not re-nominating him for president. That's not a trivial task either, but it's more plausible.

This was not a debate. It was Trump using a technique that actually has a formal name, the Gish gallop, although I suspect he comes by it naturally. It’s a rhetorical technique in which someone throws out a fast string of lies, non-sequiturs, and specious arguments, so many that it is impossible to fact-check or rebut them in the amount of time it took to say them. Trying to figure out how to respond makes the opponent look confused, because they don’t know where to start grappling with the flood that has just hit them.
It is a form of gaslighting, and it is especially effective on someone with a stutter, as Biden has. It is similar to what Trump did to Biden during a debate in 2020

Substituting a different person for Biden as the Democratic nominee isn't a realistic option. There is no person potentially able to step in without a primary process to introduce that person to the American electorate, and a person with presidential ambitions who would actually be a contender against Trump in 2024 is better off waiting until 2028, when the field is likely to be clear.

@@Merriwether-w8k My point is that, in today's politics, any person substituted for Biden would probably not do any better against Trump, in part because of the short lead time, and any person who was in a position to be a real contender against Trump in 2024 would be well advised to wait until 2028, when the field will be clear (unless the winner between Trump and Biden doesn't complete his second term in office and is replaced by a vice president, who would then be able to run as an incumbent).
Unfortunately, because of the age of big donors, this is the way politics play out. It's a shame really because it's a mockery of what America is.

The 13 keys is silly. If enough academics have a dumb models, a few of them will inevitably get a strong track record. There's no underlying logic to why the 'keys' were chosen, why 50% is the magic threshold, why they are all equally weighted, or anything like that. It's just a silly pseudo-model that has got lucky.
