    I can never find ready to wear t-shirts that look flattering on my body, either!! Learning how easy they are to make myself has been a game changer. Loving the fit of this pattern, and the wide neck band.

    A nice reminder that you don’t needs loads of time to sew and that basting saves times! I also prefer “stitch in the ditch” to a double needle. Classy T shirts!

    I just made my yearly patreon contribution (orchid subscription for one month)and would encourage others to do the same at whatever level is affordable. Your content is so valuable. It’s like my sewing reference library. Thank you!

    from the mrs: Karina! You knocked it out of the park with this video! Really great pattern, great tutorial, and great fashion pairings. I am a fan girl of the wide binding! This pattern is definitely a keeper to be put on repeat!

    Thanks to you I do now do a fair bit of hand basting, and it does save time. :) love the makes as usual. I almost nought this pattern during the sale, but didn’t. I have so many different t-shirt patterns I didn’t see a need for another one. Will have to keep it in mind for the next sale.

    I like this tee and am tempted, but I keep thinking I could maybe hack the Keep It Simple to get the same? But maybe I wouldn't and this would be easier...eek hahaha and I really like the mini turtle neck that's included too!

    I'm not surprised that you made it in under 1hr with the hand basting. I'm a firm believer in basting as a time saver, but doing it in an hr and filming it too, that is a challenge. Filming always takes extra time. Lovely tshirts, Karina, I especially like the pattern in the second one.

    I ordered the t-shirt the day of release .... Just need to get home from a road trip vacation to sew a few up. Live that neckband use it several times on other patterns from different designers already. It's a no brainer.

    Perfect Tee! I prefer Tee Shorts with a bit of ease, not skin tight everywhere, and this one hits the mark! Thanks for introducing me to this pattern company via your great tutorial!

    Happy Mothers Day to you (not sure if it the day for you but it is in Australia) I wasn't going to buy this pattern - but it looks so good and it is so helpful that you gave the amount of ease you have by using the 18. It is just perfect on you - just how I like my t-shirts. Thank you 🙂

    Nice! Never thought about hand-basting the neck binding but it totally makes sense because I DO get those gaps where I don't catch the binding and have to go back and unpick and try again....SO annoying. I've just learned this year how easy tshirts are to make. I had never sewed knits before this fall. Still trying to find my perfect fit, but they really are one of the easiest things to sew together quickly.

    Karina, this was up close and personal. Nice to see you sewing and the music reminded me of some of your earlier videos when you lived in Bolivia. Nice Ts, especially the signature wide band. Hand basting is a must, less seam ripping :-)I might just have to buy the pattern. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s in your family!❤

    Why are you using a narrow zig zag rather than a stretch stitch?

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  3 месяца назад +4

      I absolutely loathe the stretch stitches on my machine. They are impossible to seam rip. No thanks. I like the narrow zig zag because it looks like a straight stitch and it accomplishes stretching too.

    I like the wider binding too. Can it be used with a pattern that calls for thinner binding? Would the wide binding lay flat?

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  3 месяца назад

      You’d have to figure out how long to make the binding to make it wide. It’s not just about making it wide because it also has to be a bit longer than the length of narrow binding.
