Abraham: SATAN AND SANTA - Esther & Jerry Hicks

- During a Law of Attraction workshop, Abraham - translated by Esther Hicks - responded to a father who was uncertain about how he should answer his daughter's question - "Daddy, is there a Devil?". In doing so, Abraham draws a surprising parallel between Satan and another bigger-than-life childhood figure, Santa Claus.
Recorded on April 18, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas.
For nearly 25 years Esther & Jerry Hicks have produced books, audio recordings and videos based on the Teachings of Abraham, and their latest book, entitled "The Vortex", is currently on the New York Times bestseller list.
Esther explains that when she speaks for Abraham, she is interpreting blocks of thought from Non-Physical Source Energy - which she also sometimes identifies as her "Soul". Esther doesn't use the word "channeling" to describe her process, since she is not in a trance and is not hearing a voice in her head. Rather, she has trained herself to verbally interpret the same unerring Inner Guidance that is available to all of us.

Abraham is honest: listen to your intuition, to your internal guidance system. If you feel it's off, it's off. I wish I learn to trust my intuition earlier, but now I know.

I didn't like being raised with the "Santa" deception. I didn't raise my Child with it...and I won't promote it as a "Magical Experience" since I didn't find it to be "Magical" at all and other people haven't either. "My Parents started lying to me at a very young age, using Santa..." I love how Abraham express it. My Mom, later, apologized for using it...and we're awesome Friends now. There is another "Magic" and "Illusions" in the World to have fun with without deceiving anyone. Smiling! True is SO Awesome!!!!
Amen sister! I remember when I was a child thinking. I don't understand why all these grown-ups know so little about the invisible side of our universe, but tell everyone how much they know, and everything they say seems so bad.

it seems scary to most to teach their children things like this only because of society of course. But to begin children at a young age to understand their roll as creators would ultimately change this world for the better, through practicing happiness nonetheless

This was confirmation for me that what I told my child as a 4 year old about following his instinct (that was contrary to what my authority figures raised me) was correct. I got a lot of flack for that from siblings and close friends but I knew in my heart it was right, even though I didn't get it coming up. He is now a very responsible, mature and confident young man. Thank you for your response and posting.

So insightful. I am only just learning about Abe's teachings, so I didn't know them when I was bringing up my sons, both of whom are now grown. Still, they sometimes still come to me for advice or just to confide in me. Henceforth, I'll be incorporating - implicitly or explicitly - some of Abraham's teachings into the conversation. The teachings are helping me immensely; I know they will help my boys, too.

outside the vortex you need plenty of threats to control people and the devil is a good one" but i think that source is so much more powerful even outside the vortex...but I am wanting santa to exist even though he has been made up...i am wanting to meet his reindeer! I love reindeer and i love abraham...oh its so lovely here in the vortex!
