    Beautiful and straight to the point, no one else has said that it's a GT bike and that's exactly what it is. Entire review in one line. Brilliant.

    I like that they kept the analog dials. Nothing like a rev counter rushing towards the red. No digital unit can mimic that.

    at last we have a proper sports tourer. I bought the H2 SX Se 3yrs ago, and was disappointed. then bought the new R1250rt rt, and was even more pissed. Can't wait to take delivery of this beautiful machine. Thank you Suzuki for keeping the sports tourer Alive.
    great review

      Did you ever look at an R1200RS? I don't have BMW money, but if I was going for a high end sports tourer that's what I'd consider. Shaft drive, all the gizmos, bit bent over but not "assuming the position."
      Then again, I want 4 cylinders for the smoothness, especially at that size.

    • @zunaidkajee4540
      @zunaidkajee4540 3 года назад +3

      @@V742 I just sold my 1250rt, and even with the RS, problem was I just couldn't get used to that boxer motor. I tried very hard to like it (did 5k kilos in 2 months), but I missed the smoothness on an inline. And huge problem is the quicksilver...the worst on any bike.
      I can trade off lubbing the chain every 1000 kilos, for all that tech and smoothness. BMW should have not discontinued their k1300s....

      @@jeremytucker9864 I had an H2 SX and the seat was very uncomfortable. Tank shape is also not for everybody, because it doesn't support the lower belly. If one finds it comfortable enough, it is an excellent bike with outstanding power.

  • @michaelwinter3132
    @michaelwinter3132 3 года назад +20

    I drag raced it against an H2 SX with 195rwhp. It walked away from the H2 until we let off at 150mph. But you don't feel that so much, because it doesn't scream like the 1000's, and you are stretched out horizontally over the long tank. First I could not believe the Busa won, but it actually does have more power all over the rev range until 9500 rpm, and a longer wheelbase as well. So this GT can still spank the new kids at times...

  • @captainbimble

    I owned a Gen2 Busa for 7 years and it was a great machine. Super powerful without being too intimidating. You could just put it in 4th gear and leave it there! No tap dancing on the gear lever like some bikes I have owned. May well consider a test ride on this new version to see what its like.

The 'busa has never been the wildest lairiest super fast speed demon (see Kawasaki everything). It was always smooth, super fast and somewhat easy, like the Blackbird without bags and good mileage. I'm glad they didn't change it. If it ain't broke...

    Just came across this video and the comments! Reminds me of a "kids today" tagline from old men who still think that Roger Bannister runs the fastest mile, and that Jimmy Saville was good! Move with the times old farts! As we move towards the death of the combustion engine - the Busa (any Busa) is a good investment! I have a Gen 3, a 2023 Fireblade, a Yamaha R1, a CB1000R, an XSR 900 and a 2022 Rocket 3 R. I also have a Supermeteor 650! The latter gives me smiles, the CB thou is the best alrounder (close to the XSR), the R1 and Fireblade are madness, yet uncomfortable, and my Rocket is almost there... My Busa is all of the things i love in all of my bikes - rolled into one... This isn't my real name on here, but I know bikes and have ridden beyon most of your boyish limits people! John, who is a part time DJ, drinks Guinness and rides for Honda!

    Still searching for a replacement for my 94 VFR. It's currently on pause but I know some day something will break and I won't be able to replace what is broken. Being fast is nice, but I ride my VFR more often than my Harley for long distance trips (several hours one way). I really do prefer carbs to fuel injection though. So much more reliable with the years of experience I've had.

    I had to look up the name change since you mentioned it but couldn't pronounce it. Gqeberha definitely sounds more exotic than Port Elizabeth. Not sure how that matches up to the reality. At least the Hayabusa is still a Hayabusa apparently, even it's it's gotten soft, old and a bit more high tech.

    “We don’t have that anymore”??????what utter nonsense!😂😂😂😂.
    What about the Kwacker H2, the Aprilia RSV4, the BMW S1000RR, the Yammy R1, the bonkers MT10 and Tuono V4, and of course the Busa itself? Ok, the Busa is a GT bike but always was, as was the Blackbird so that really hasn’t changed at all.
    These are just a few exceptionally fast and scary bikes all of which improve and refine their historical versions into something arguably better today.
    The only true thing from this vid is that the EU want to control everyone’s life right down to now indirectly persecuting those who want to ride hairy chested bikes or even those holding Christian values.
    If you want a hairy chested noisy bike without all the nanny controls then you have lots of choice used. For example, a great bike capable of high terminal speed and entertaining punch through the gears, yet stays reliable, is quite light and handles in the twisty bits and offers surprising comfort then go out and buy a naughties Aprilia RSVR Mille. No one’s forcing anyone to buy a new over inflated hyper-bike but for those in the market for one, the choice has never been greater…..ever.
