I always like to check RUclips reviews on any product or services that claims to be high quality. Glad I found this video. I was seriously thinking about purchasing Revoicer for my audible book. My gut just told me to check reviews on RUclips first. Glad I did. I won't be buying this product. Thanks Jenn for the heads-up.
Thanks so much Jenn! It is absolutely refreshing to hear an honest review by someone who does not have an affiliate link. I also agree that I never think voice generations sound quite real. Maybe I'm too picky? 🤭
Thank you for your candid review. I hope more people get the chance to see it because companies often engage in extensive promotion to favorably showcase their products, employing tricky pricing strategies and making promises that rarely materialize. Your honesty sheds light on these practices.
Sorry but Revoicer is just like all the other Text to Speech apps out there. Their ad makes it sound as if the 'one time price' package is all you need, but it's another too-good-to-be-true offer. They won't even provide a demo so that we can hear what we get for the price, and that was a turn off for me. After doing some research I found others complaining that the voices in the basic package are not really that good. I ended up trying out the demo from Eleven Labs and because I was able to try it before I buy I ended up with the $22 model and have not look back.

@@hoangtin7229 any ‘one time price’ offer that only sells through social media can not be trusted. They also never have a demo version to try out and customers are forced to pay upfront only to find they have to upgrade to get the best out of the product.
Appreciate the honest review. And thanks for taking the time to showcase the different accents in different tones as well. I am not as offended by the completeness of this app. There are a handful of developers/tech startups in the world with the skill to work on this level of AI right now, it is very complex.. so if they're not totally polished as yet, I can live with that. Will still get the subscription, but I'm glad I know what I'm walking into, so thanks for that
I like you because you keep it real and you show exactly how these apps work and you go full hands on step by step and show exactly what we wanna see before we jump into it. I subscribed.
Jenn, you do a great service by giving your detailed and candid opinion about the tools you review. Thank you very much!! You just gained a new subscriber from Brazil!
Revoicer is a good service. I was skeptical at first, but it's worth it IMO. I do suppose it depends on what you want to use it for though. I write books and also make audiobooks. So, I needed some good, realistic sounding narrators. I think they may have added a few voices since this video was made. Doug is an excellent male voice. Deliliah is a great female voice and Nova is a great voice for children's books. They have some other pretty good ones but those three are pretty much all I need.
Really love honest reviews like this. It’s exactly what I want to do on my channel. Let’s revamp and make reviews great again. 🎉 Thanks for your review! Definitely NOT buying this. 😂
Thanks for this video, Jenn. That’s the RUclips content that I’m looking for. Thanks for not being just another fake review trying to get some affiliate commission.
Maybe I am a little too harsh, but after seeing this performance, I would never consider purchasing this software. Even if it improves quite a bit, this release tells you a lot about what to expect. Is this a Paul Ponna product. If not, they are copying his "claim a lot and deliver little" marketing methods. Thanks Jenn for saving us all some money.

Excellent review. I also note that in it's list of voices (English and international), the Revoicer promo does not indicate which or how many voices are in the Standard vs. the Pro versions. The "emoji" offering is cute, but again... does not seem to work for all the voices...
I noticed that the Pro plan is $47/ month is a 'discount' price and the regular price is $94/month so that sounds like a tickler price. I wonder if those who have had Revoicer for a while experience a price jump after a few months.
Hello Jenn! Thank you very much for your review. We feel that you in your review you missed some important things. For example in the software, there is a big section "Training" where we have a full training video explaining each feature in detail and how to use the app in order to make the voices sound as natural as possible. We didn't show that you can highlight the text and mark it in different emotions. ( but we are working on that) The giggle sounds are available only for Nova, we explain that clearly. If you used some punctuation marks in the text (like we explain in the tutorial video) the output would be better. But again, thank you for your review, because some things that you pointed out will clearly help us make the software better and will help us give a better user experience to our members.
Wow! I was close to buying this and thought I'd better head over to YT to watch a couple of reviews and yours was the first to pop up. Great honest review. I'll give this one a pass thanks to your review!
There is no demo on their site, and their webside self-ads are suspicious - I could smell this picky and greasy happiness of "how great this is" but behind the curtains its just another thing the cyberpunk dystopias prevented us about in stories.
In my view, the biggest problem is the very audible editing artifacts in the audio. Till they can't solve this, these tries will always sound "robotic". Unfortunately. Thank you for saving me money, Jenn, by the way. :) I owe you! (Y)
I was going to get this so I would have voices to use for my animations and cartoons. To me, they sounded the same, regardless of the emotion you set. Also, what angers me the most is the ads on RUclips. They obviously use real voices but say they are A.I. 😡 I guess I will be waiting a while for better A.I. voices. Thank you for the review!
I need a voice changing program and your video was REALLY helpful. I'm totally new to this area and this was a great starting point for me. I'll check out your other videos to try and find out which program you currently recommend over all others. Thanks!
Was thinking of buying this, but no longer, I have several TTS software's and this looked promising at first glance. Thanks for the review. I got an ad for $67 one time fee (founders offer) but I don't appreciate deception,
I use Revoicer now and have been for past two weeks. Software is "good" BUT there are things you need to be aware of with HOW THEY CACULATE THE CHARACTERS PER MONTH. For past few days, I have been trying to deal with Support and they do want to help me -- keep saying they cannot add/edit/change anything to do with payment or characters ... because of licensing. When you put in your script for the AI to VOICE OVER ... those "Characters are counted. Okay, but if you listen to the Voice and decide that you need to change ONE WORD or NUMBERS (because AI did not pronounce it correctly), then you need to change that word and redo the Voice Over, which will count towards your Character Limit! No matter if you change just ONE WORD in the Script, it will take the ENTIRE SCRIPT AND USE ALL CHARACTERS TOWARDS YOUR LIMIT FOR THE MONTH! The AI does make mistakes and you WILL NEED TO EDIT your script maybe once maybe 10 times to get it right! ALL OF WHICH WILL COUNT TOWARDS YOUR LIMIT! So, you have been warned about how they use and CALCULATE THE CHARACTERS that are used every single time you click that "Generate Audio" Button. It is not just being counted WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD BUT when you generate a voice. Just be aware of that!
thanks for the honest review, we need more of these that get to the point especially how pricing and features work, I did find their ads very good but then also misleading. Small payment to get access then expensive monthly fees and additional charges for the extras.
Congratulations on your video! Thank you very very very much for your honesty. I was almost ‘bout to buy it. I think they have to work more on their product to perfect it. They’re on the right path just not exactly there yet. In my case I really need a much less robotic voice to work with. Thx you once again. And keep up the honest reviews! 😊👏👏👏

The sales page is well-designed and has many examples of voices, but I doubt that the actual voices used on their sales page are from their software. After listening to their examples here on this video it sounds like they're mediocre at best. Nothing special or exciting here. I'm sure they paid a pretty penny for the sales page design and the flashy ads, and hope to recoup some of it by selling you a lifetime one-time payment of $47 for the stuff you can get for free. Then probably offer an upgrade to their pro plan for $97 or more. Thanks again for breaking us out of this shiny syndrome spell, Jenn!

Good review! Please skip this AI and support actual people that are hustling and working with their voice.
thank you
"Be cautious of this deceptive promotion! The so-called 'special offer' is nothing but a scam. Upon purchasing the lifetime deal, you'll constantly encounter background music whenever utilizing the text-to-speech feature. To access the voices without music, you're required to buy the PRO VERSION, which comes with an exorbitant price tag. It's a blatant bait to lure unsuspecting buyers. My advice is to refrain from purchasing this misleading offer. Trust me, it's not worth it!"
