As a Filipino I can't believe what i've just seen and heard their singing a favorite Filipino folk song Paru-parong bukid! Wow!!! Simply amazing!!! That's difficult!!! and with a Filipino folk dance! Bravo!!! Mabuhay!!! Australian, Italian and Canadian Choirs thank you from all your Filipino friends in the Philippines and from all over the world!!!❤❤❤
The Canadian choire has a lot of charming and power in their interpretation. I am sorry, because I don't know enough about the text and the meaning of this lovely Filipino Song. In Body-Language I find the Canadian the best, because in Body-Language you can read a lot of meaning. Salamat for sharing to us.
"Paru-parong Bukid" literaly means field butterfly. However in this song, the word is actually referring to a traditional Filipina. The song is basically describing/admiring her looks and her actions.
Paru Parung Bukid...Butterfly Field...One of Filipino Folk Song..which we learned in our early schooling..Very nice and Beautiful song..Proud Pinoy..and i'm so grateful that our Filipino Folk Songs became well known and sang by different country in a Choir..Amazing performànce....❤❤❤
They - Australian, Italian and Canadian choirs - sang and interpreted this famous Philippine folk song: Paro-Parong Bukid with much gusto like it is one of their own. I'm proud to hear them sing one of the Philippines' well loved song.
Thank you vey much for singing our folk song it made us proud that our Filipino song reaches your shore, I know uts difficult for you to pronounce every lyrics of that song but you did it well, many thanks to you
Nowadays you don't see any filipino students sing this song or any other traditional filipino songs. They'll only appreciate these songs when they see foreigners perform them.
It's so nice watching foreign choirs sing Filipino Folk songs. It brings tears to my eyes seeing them putting hard effort in producing a humorous act ... to an astounding success.
Hi fr overtaxed NYC metro area...Litchfield County, CT.....5:18 wow !!! angelic voice, Blondie DIVA ! awesome !! Best A cappella rendition on line with many notes wow!... Canada was #1 Excellent ! Italy floated like angels wow!
To all the choirs featured here I would like to share some words of wisdom. When faced with a daunting task, in the words of the wise and ubiquitous sage Juan Tamad 🤔, we say "pwede na ya-awn!" 😉😝 Congratulations to all for a truly entertaining performance! 👍👏👏👏
Nice, di lng excellence sa rendition pati natural humour ng pinoy in-adopt nilang lahat. Feeling proud, ang ganda ng Filipino influence sa ibang lahi when it comes to music. Blessed talaga ang Philippines.
So hilarious! I enjoyed all the interpretations. By virtue of the authority vested upon me, I now pronounce all of you, Filipino citizens! Just kidding...
Hi fr: NYC metro area...Litchfield County, CT... the Italian young A cappella choir was hands down my favorite rendition of young choir type (BUT FULL VOICES !!) .... The singers ALL BLEW me away !..... WOW ! It was also mixed with FUN as the FOLK song rhyme goes... their interpretation of FUN CAME THROUGH their dance and sways accordingly to my vision of FUN parts of the Filipino Butterfly folk song... likability 10/10 here....4 me.... I would go see this group if they were in my area, yes I would drive there to the nearest city near me...
It's sad to know that no one in this generation appreciates the classics and traditional songs of the Philippines nowadays. They only focus on the modern songs, not minding or giving regards to the more classical and meaningful songs like this, like it's an irreplaceable gem to us.
Best singers- Canadians, Australians and Italians. Thank you guys for singing the Filipino song, it must have been so difficult for you but you enjoy it and so did I
Filipino Language should be taught in every countries that has Filipinos residence. USA has over 4M filipinos and here in the UK we have over 300k filipino people. The Language should be taught in schools for filipino childrens and for the sake of the people who don't speak the language but has a lot of native neighbors lol
@@magnumjovem Filipino is the national language, and every Filipino understands it. 😅😅😅 Both the national language and the citizens are called Filipino 😁
In some part of school in Russia, they teach Filipino language. Here's a hint, if anyone who wish to be a great or at least a good singer, learn Filipino language and its local music. Seriously, their vocal letters and alphabet can help them more when singing.
This is a good vibe video for all the Filipinos. Thanks for singing our folk song "Paruparong Bukid" in your own different versions. You are all so great and talented.. but I agree, Canada gave the best rendition among all.. Love it !!! 🥰❤️👍
As a Filipino I was amazed to hear different nationalities singing our one of the greatest classical Folklore music with their different rendition and interpretation which are typically Filipino in culture. Kudos to all! Bravo! Excellent!
As Filipino former choir member (a bass singer for 20+ years) here are my winners: 3rd - 🇮🇹 2nd - 🇦🇺 1st - 🇨🇦 Has anyone watched the one by a school from New Zealand?! They are also great.
Hi fr: NYC metro area...Litchfield County...Australian version was BEST ALL AROUND THEATRICAL PRESENTATION up & coming very young professionals that I have ever seen ......... & 1:20 BEST FILIPINO adaptation dance PRESENTED to an audience...with both dancers CHARM CAME THROUGH accordingly, = The young man behaved & DANCED LIKE A TRADITIONAL FILIPINO DANCER his hand placements were perfect & so did the young LADY DANCER brought out the interpretation of that actual butterfly that she's dancing about...(portraying)....a charm.... I felt like those two dancers after the song...I am sure they could BOTH dance tinikling also, & with candle on her head & ANOTHER CANDLE ON HER HAND...easily !
The Filipino classic songs Leron Leron Sinta and Paro-Parong Build are vibrant, dynamic, and complex, yet very charming, humorous and crisp to listen to that's why the foreign countries are smitten. Their interpretations and choreography are also hilarious 😂❤😊! Kudos!!!
Hi: fr: NYC metro area...Litchfield County, CT....at 5:45 young Lady Blondie DIVA ....I CAN HEAR U.... wow ! Beautiful...So many "notes" and undertones.... just beautiful....we can all hear U R FULL of "angelic notes" there....I hope U do something with your voice & sing Filipino songs & put it on U TUBE with a background of forest & nature & trees & tall grasses... & multiply background of your voice & cut the Filipino folk songs on U TUBE w/it ... U will get lots of hits & lots of commercials after a while....CHOIRS RED DEER, Central Alberta, Canada(2018 ish)
The lyrics is about the similarity of the farm butterfly 🦋 to the lady with traje de meztiza or butterfly sleeved Filipino woman's costume complete with it's 1 stretched fingers measurement for its big sleeves, skirt with at least 1 foot train , shorter skirt coverlet or apron, peineta comb and ordinary comb, proper eyelet lace undergarments. Then that lady would face the altar (perhaps to utter a prayer), then proceed to the mirror to look at herself, then walk away with hips swaying.
Canada did well, its happy song, Farm butterfly flying around (personification of lady wandering around) kendeng-kendeng means dancing in a swaying manner, Usually this song is performed with a dance. Nevertheless, they did very well. Good job!
Oh, Canada definitely captured the flirty-but-in-a-conservative-way playfulness of the song. This song should make the audience smile like crazy and Canada did it well for me.
1,2,3 Canada, Australia and Italy
