Corydorus are my absolute favourite fishes. I have a few different species in a Cory community. Seeing this video put me in my Heaven. Except it makes me want to keep everyone of them ! Thank you for such a great video 👍
Alan I'm back into this hobby after thirty years. I understand that they are not to be kept on gravel because of possible barbel damage. Do you agree with this? Thinking of getting a few. Thank you. 👍
Just a small point; if you're going to put up information such as this you should at least get the convention right. The specific name is always (by scientific convention) written in lower case, but it seems that among a lot of sites such as this one they are bent on capitalizing every one. Such lapses are often picked up by others and mistaken as being correct.
i had an albino and a generic spotty one (honestly didn't look as nice as the juli, but i was a kid and don't totally remember.) i recently got a peppered, because it stays small AND i think they're cute. but uuuuuuugh the pandas
I was shocked to see that one of the types of corys has my first and middle names. That was so cool. I watched the whole video and I still didn't find the kind of cory I have.
Probably amandajanea, named by David Sands for his wife - very scientific (?). When his wife left him he named another species of fish after his Thai girlfriend. Those of us in the community were waiting for Corydoras 'mynewwifei' with tongues in cheeks.
That is a tad too warm for most corys (84f) Most prefer a softer water too and a smooth/soft substrate so as not to harm the barbels. Plenty of places to hide from fish that swim middle-top of tank as they feel threatened.
I have a very odd Cory that I did not see in you list. I have an all white Cory. It’s not albino as they are more pink with a pink or albino eye. This is all white with a very black colored eye.
I have watched so many videos like this trying to identify my corys. I still don't know what they are. They are caramel brown on top, white on the bottom, and they have a black stripe down each side.
Wow ngaun lng ako nakakita ng ganyang mga isda.. Inunahan na kita balik ka sana
Nice photography. Very complete presentation of one of my favorite bottomdwellers!

Mine wasn't on the list either! Corydoras pygmaeus. Which one do you have?
Probably amandajanea, named by David Sands for his wife - very scientific (?). When his wife left him he named another species of fish after his Thai girlfriend. Those of us in the community were waiting for Corydoras 'mynewwifei' with tongues in cheeks.

@@Rocksteddy0 Yes, they can survive with Discus, 80-84F

Hi David, I also have this type of Cory! Did you ever find out the species?
Could be a leucitic (all white with black eye) panda. They have appeared in the hobby a short while ago.
Donna Hill Thank you Donna, I am going to go look them up now 👍
Hello anyway it's albino corydoras I have 4 of them
@@dogsexplained - The panda corys have black patches like the animal and not an actual black eye.
What about part2 ? I don't found.
Paleatus???
Hai your new fan 😍😍 done SC😘😘
gandaaaaa... dto napo ko .pabalik na lng po salamat
Sure
Done po sir
IMO no community tank is complete without at least a couple of corys
Barb5001 - They would be much happier in groups of 6-10. That's of one kind and not one-two of each kind.
What is the smallest Corydoras?
Kathy Avey - I think the pygmy cory is the smallest.
Just got two Venezuelan black corys and one just died in a tragic way im suuuper upset bout it !!
I have watched so many videos like this trying to identify my corys. I still don't know what they are. They are caramel brown on top, white on the bottom, and they have a black stripe down each side.
Did you find it? I’ve seen you all iver
Is it the one at 1:17?
