I noticed that most singers with very powerful voices started singing at a very young age. I'm 26 and I sing since I'm a little kid, but alone in my room, very quietly, so no one will hear me because I'm super shy. Nowadays I like the way I sing but it's noticeable how it lacks power, because I think I conditioned my vocal chords that way, singing so softly and at such a low volume throughout my whole life. Is it too late for me to develop a more powerful voice?
I'm in the same situation as you. When I noticed my singing voice was weaker than my sister's while singing at a karaoke I wanted to learn how to sing louder. Right now I'm doing my best to be confident by singing a bit louder than usual. Even if it takes time, bring out the confidence in you! Good luck!

I'm always trying to sing the more quietly I can, even everyone saying I have a powerful voice, I don't wanna disturb anybody.
I have the same position as you, I have no self confidence in that area, I want to belt it out and I know I can do it but I get self conscious. The only times I sing louder is when in the shower or have a loud speaker on because my brain thinks no one can hear around loud noises 😂 But I want to be able to belt that shit. I've been doing vocal exercises everyday to build strength and confidence in my voice, When I try to sing in front of people and I know they are watching, I get stage fright and my voice freezes and I sweat.

Omg I was just like him. Back then I always tend to sing louder as I go higher, which is what I can observe from him. But through time I've been able to develop my mix better and now I'm able to sing higher without that "screamy" quality because then, when I reach for higher notes, it almost sounds like I'm hitting a ceiling and like I was shouting. Cool cool!

There are ppl that have a raw talent, they are born with, he has it. Now some truly successful singers were not “born” with “raw” talent. The key is.....committing & doing the work. This woman can show you how to chisel out your masterpiece & she is literally THE BEST.....but you have to do the work. This student is already ahead of the game, I hope he dedicates himself to honing the instrument he was given. Truly he has such potential. Only being a little harder on him as I think he’s got something unique.
He has such beautiful tone. He has talent, for sure, he just has to relax and let it come. It will with time. I CAN'T WAIT to see him in 6 months or a year.

True but he has to learn control both sitting and standing. You'll never see a professional singer only standing in place to sing, they have to be versatile. What a gorgeous voice he has!

@cherylportervocalcoach you should verify the amount of support he is briginging to his voice, and be very careful about the mouth opening. He is putting pressure on his lower jaw and losing the focus on supoort. Also, tension on lips. Be very careful, specially when the boys are in vocal changes, their vocal range changes because of the lenght of the vocal chords. You have also to help him mentain the metal in his voice by taking care of the setting in the epiglottic funnel. 🙏
