  • Flurry-Grenade v Tormented Andariel / Duriel
    I've been often asked if the build can farm Tormented Ubers -- and while it won't be able to do carry runs, nor the smoothest of boss kills, soloing these bosses is certainly possible.
    (I think that once you have cleared at least Pit T90 -- Tormented Bosses won't be an issue)

    What I love about this build is that you actually have get timing right and press buttons. It's way more fun to play than heartseeker for example.

    I want to make a grenade rogue so bad but i dont fancy these evade shenanigans even though it's necessary. There's just something missing, a piece of the puzzle idk. Let's say we go through the unique ring route, maybe circling flurry for packs, the trap passive and the trap ultimate, then "grenade counts as traps". We scale aspd and maybe fit in a starless skies for flurry spam along with RCR idk. Would that work? (Maybe that 3% nerf to the ring was too much)

      I've been thinking about Ring of Starless Skies and that it might be a perfect fit for the build.
      Also, I like how you think, but unfortunately the only way to get around the evade shenanigans is to go all out on cooldown, Concealment Cooldown, and Subterfuge Cooldown. But the idea is still to spam Concealment and get the most out of Opportunists aspect -- because that's the only grenade putting out the big damage.
      That route could work and you use Explosive Verve back as you suggested (recently taken them out), run Exposure, and probably can even use Inner Calm. Once you have a high apm, and decent LHC, even though Exposure isn't the same damage as Opportunists, the amount of damage it will produce I think will somehow make up for it. Maybe.
      I can see Encircling Blades working here but I'm not sure what to replace. Also sadly, unique ring ain't it, chief. You'd want other multipliers in place over it.

      @@pichapao5337 ughhh i like the ring so much tho. I'll tinker with thigs a bit and see where it goes. My thoughts: fill entire aspects with grenades just like yours, grenade as traps on boots, trap mastery, APSD on gloves and ammy, maybe paragon for aspd? Go for invigorating strikes for regen and all res(?)and pair that with combo points for maximum flurry aspd? preparation with death trap? You'll be attacking so fast, popping grenades and reducing ult cooldown, reseting concealment cd as well... downside is: you lose so much multipliers with rings... and other things lol

    • @pichapao5337
      @pichapao5337  3 месяца назад +1

      For bosses:
      1. Land Caltrops
      2. Dash (to get crit damage bonus)
      3. Puncture til Vulnerable (should be pretty fast with high apm) as well as build up Dark Shroud stacks
      4. Flurry once every 2~3 seconds to cast Shadow Imbue
      5. Puncture-evade till you need to cast Flurry again
      6. Repeat step 1 and 2 every so often (with even with Caltrops duration, it is just a less clunky way of re-applying Dash buff)
      7. If nearing stagger, hold on for a bit before re-applying Dash.
      8. Once staggered, cast Concealment immediately so you can squeeze in as much grenades from Opportunists.
      9. Repeat til dead (if you don't get it during the first stagger)
      For Elite packs:
      1. Safest way is to pre-emtively cast Concealment and infiltrate the pack
      2. Hit once to drop stun grenades, this helps stop any effect from the elites.
      3. Run the same steps as the ones from the boss.
      It looks like a lot, but simple enough once you get the rhythm going.

    Wish the flurry ring was good, maybe if it was 30% to grant stealth so could use the opportunists grenades. Otherwise, all the other grenade aspects need a boost.

    • @pichapao5337
      @pichapao5337  3 месяца назад

      It can count as trap if you got the Explosive Verve aspect (still won't increase the size with Snare though which kinda sucks). I've used it before but dropped since I already get decent Caltrops uptime to maximize Deadly Ambush and Ambush.

      Been meaning to try a pure Flurry build. Maybe I might soon. But I do expect it to not be as strong as you can only scale the skill damage so much. But also, I've been a Flurry main since beta, and that's why I wanna do it haha

      It will be a little challenging if you're intending to use this as a leveling build, especially for a new player. Lots of the synergies happening are tied to the gear/aspects/paragon board. It can be done for sure as I used the same build to level up.
      Most important pieces are:
      1. Opportunist Aspect
      2. Lethal Dusk
      3. Retribution
      4. Frostbitten
      5. Rest of the Grenades aspects

    Wow thanks this is great. it's the only build I play since s4 launch, cant get bored of it. Did you tested Explosive Verve or Volatile Shadows with this setup ? thank you !

    • @pichapao5337
      @pichapao5337  3 месяца назад +1

      I've tried Explosive Verve until I dropped it recently for pushing so I can fit either another Utility, a Defensive, or an Offensive aspect.
      The aspect is very comfy as you would not have to rely on Caltrops so often and can get the benefits from Ambush, as well as Deadly Ambush legendary node.
      I have tried Volatile Shadows very briefly. The idea for this is to drop Flurry and you apply shadow imbuement from your Dark Shroud explosions. From my experience, while it works during the dungeon, it falls off during boss fights. Especially during stagger phase when the only way to apply and re-apply shadow imbue is thru Dash (or Shadow Step. And that ends up being more clunky than I'd hoped as sometimes you are caught off cooldown.
