Great as usual. It sure will be beneficial for many of us. I'd just like to add to it is that using online conversion tool it is also possible to convert PDF into PowerPoint editable file for those who likes to use it. Bear in mind, not all will be convert into editable file because of the nature how the original files were created. If they have used jpg or png images then you are out of luck. But if they have used graphic software or canva and exported as PDF, then it will work. For those who have Adobe Acrobat are in good hands. Using OCR, it can even sometimes converts scanned PDFs into editable texts and elements.
It took me an entire day to upload a file into Canva that had 200 sudoku puzzles. I got it from CF. Once I finally got it to upload onto Canva so I could add elements, I discovered every single one of the puzzles had the numbers eschewed. Some were in their proper place but many of the numbers were on the line or in the corners. Now I have no way to use this file. If I upload the file just as is, the way that I purchased it, I’m sure kdp will ban me. I know nothing about file conversions, so I’m sunk. This is the second purchase I’ve made from CF that I can’t even use to sell on kdp.
Regarding altering a PDF file...I find that if I only upload the main pages, not the entire document, I can make edits quickly, then duplicate the pages. It doesn't make sense to upload entire document if you need to alter ALL the pages, which are most often duplicated 100 times in the ready-made file.
Once more nice video from you, Nuria. Thank you. I got a question about tax forms that i recently received from KDP. Like you, i am not USA citizen and i do not live in USA so: Do i have to submit the tax form that i got from KDP to USA authorities or not? I am not sure what to do, if you make a video about this will be helpful.
Every country will have their own tax rules. Here in the UK I am registered as a sole trader and I do my taxes according to their rules. So it depends on the country that you live in.
I absolutely love love your Channel! Such great information, you are a wonderful teacher and explain things so well. Great content! I have a question, what do you do when you have ideas for a low content book covers, but you're not able to find what you are imagining and have created in your mind for the cover- If it's not on KDP? Basically, What do you do if you can't find the images that you want for your cover on KDP
There are three things you can do: you can try and find ready-made images in places like Creative Fabrica, Creative Market, etc. (I always find something I can use), or you can make your own images or photos and the third option is to pay an artist or graphic designer to make them for you. The last option can be costly if you want good quality and you have to make sure that they give you exclusivity so that nobody else ends up with the same design. This business model is really about finding ready made images and I love the creativity it requires to mix and match existing graphics to create a unique new one. Hope that helps, all the best on your KDP journey!
Hi Nuria. Thanks so much for all of your videos. I have commented before that I have made 6 low content notebooks and I found that quite easy to follow as I did it step by step with you. Now I am trying to move on to something different, but being a very unsavvy computer person, I have no idea when to use JPG, PNG or PDF files!!! Sorry to be so dim but it's all really confusing me now. On Canva there seems to be several ways to size your interior so what happens when it comes to the cover? All this seems to be stopping me advancing. Hope you can help? Best wishes. Jackie
Hi Jackie, if you're talking about the cover you also need to download it as a pdf, as that is what Amazon ask for. It's the same file format as your interior. Hope that helps.
Thank you Nuria for the informative video! How do you compare CF with Book bolt? I have not used CF but Book bolt. I would like to understand before subscribing or switching. TIA!
They are both very different things. Creative Fabrica is a site where I get my images and fonts from. Book Bolt is a tool that helps with keywords, design and more. Both very different so I can't really compare.
Hello Nuria, I am a non US citizen. Is amazon paying taxes to IRS behalf of ourselves annually? If so do we have to pay amazon that amount separately? Or do they deduct that amount from our sales? How does this process work? Thank you.
So, I have a question about your videos. I have a premium youtube account, meaning I watch content with no ads. Am I taking away from your youtube income by doing this? Should I go back to watching with the ads?
Thank you for another great video. Please tell me, once you subscribe to creative fabrica can you download unlimited images or do you have to still purchase them separately. Like fonts. You said you subscribe to creative fabrica but you also mentioned that you are always buying new fonts from them?
Yes, they had different deals on in the past. At the moment, this is the best deal I could find, $1 for the first month and then $19 a month for as long as you stay subscribed.
Hello, by downloading images from creative fabrica that have a full pod license from different vendors. If we collect them in a book, create a coloring book and submit them to the kdp, will there be a problem from the point of view of the kdp?
How legal is it to use Canva elements on products for commercial use? I was under the impression that it's not allowed. I've been avoiding using anything premade on Canva 🤷♀️
Read the licence carefully so you know exactly how to use the images legally. It's all about combining elements and images. I have made a few videos about this subject.
How can you edit the premade images? For example I got an image from creative fabrics and I want to change the text and background color. How do you do that?
I explained it in the video! You can upload them to Canva or to your chosen design tool and add elements. Or upload them as pdfs like I showed in the video.
It depends is the file PNG or vector, if it is a vector you need to open it in Illustrator or Inkscape and edit there. With PNG you can't edit text, just build on top.
How can I use my own paintings, artwork and photography ? I am new to all of this and haven't started yet, I just found watching a lot of channels getting ready for my new computer to arrive waiting for my computer to arrive this week. I am so so excited to get started with this, I have so many ideas, I just I want to see where this new Journey will take me, I might be successful and then again I might not be, but I definitely want to see if it's something that I can do?
@@TheHomeBoss no I meant for example if I was downloading a pdf gratitude interior to my computer from creative fabrica but then i wanted to upload to canva would it not upload at all if it is 110 pages long or would canva chop off the extra 10 pages. Does that make sense?
@@TheHomeBoss Thank you . for example this title " word search for kids 8-12" is already on Amazon. if I use the same title for my activity book. Will this cause a problem for my account?
@@TheHomeBoss Thank you very much. Can you please make a video on how to write a book title in the correct way? because I am a little confused about writing the title and the subtitle.
There are so many issues with Creative Fabrica. Broken designs all over the place. Repetitive posts all over their website. I have been a member for about a year now, and the only thing that has been useful about this website is their fonts, but that is hardly worth the price they are asking. Use their free stuff, you can't go wrong with that. It is just as good as anything they charge you for. I have downloaded multiple book mockup files only to realize that they don't work as advertised. Creative Fabrica's quality control is nonexistent. They consider quality control to be censoring reviews. They do not allow bad reviews on their website.
I have to agree with you, up to a point. When I first started, I used their free stuff all the time but there came a point where I needed more. I know exactly what you mean, I find the repetitive spammy listings annoying but I have found a way around it and that is by favouriting certain designers and then I just need to look through their items. I still use a lot of graphics, fonts and images from Creative Fabrica, so for me the investment is worth it. But everybody's situation is different. There are other places that provide what they do, Creative Market is quite good, but more expensive.
As sweet as you look, your words are so simple!

Can we use Creative Fab's fonts in Canva? Haven't used CFab yet.
Yes, you can upload them to Canva, but I'm not sure you can do this on the free version, it may be for the pro version, you'd have to check first.
What microphone do you use if you don’t mind me asking? Love your channel!
It's a Blue Snowball from Amazon, thank you so much for watching!

Yes, you can. Go to 'Create a Design' and in the bottom right corner click on 'import file'. You can upload a pdf there.

This is good info for ready made pdf interiors which definitely need to be altered. This pdf has to be less than 100 pages which may be hard to find.
You can use ilovepdf.com to split them.
