Publishing on KDP is an organic process, just keep uploading quality books, and sooner or later Amazon will pick up your books and provide you with extra income on autopilot. And... never worry about negative reviews 😉Thanks for sharing 🙏💖
It's so nice to learn from someone who isn't hyping up the speed of creation earnings and earnings. So many people are giving unrealistic expectations and charging thousands of dollars for courses that could take years to recoup if at all. My aim is to create books I want on my nightstand. Hopefully other people will want them too.
Thanks so much for this, Nuria. I've only been placing books on Amazon for a little over a month and am disappointed that I'm not doing better. Whenever I feel a bit discouraged, I watch this and remember it takes time to build anything of quality. I've had several businesses during my lifetime and 4-5 years is when several finally took off and became successful. So far I've published one Breast Cancer Memoir and about 12 low content books. I do remember your words. Quality over Quantity. A must for any business. Thanks again. Oh...now working on creating my first audiobook (I am the narrator.). Having fun doing all of this, despite the HUGE learning curve.

Yes, but Nuria also said in another video that quantity comes in at the beginning in order to learn the process and be able to see which books work and which do not, which might mean which are quality and which are not. Kind of difficult to do quality consistently when we learn. Nuria said that her earlier books were not that great.
Every time I lose hope, I always go back to this video. I started publishing two weeks ago, and I had 1 sale so far. I'm lookngforward to Q4! As a first timer, I don't know what to expect in my first Q4! Hopefully my sales will increase also, just like it did to you! Hoping for the best!

I'm sorry to hear you haven't made any sales yet, but it really isn't unusual at the beginning. Try changing your niches or covers, always try new strategies until you find the one that works for you. Good luck, I know you will achieve this.
I thought I was doing something wrong as I had only had $13 in sales in my first month.. but then upon reviewing some channels like this for some tips, I've learned I'm just impatient and lucky lol You have a great voice and it's nice hearing your honesty while I post stuff before a watching a movie, this kind of work is definitely my jam :) good luck to everyone else out there!
Great to see your Journey Nuria - I had quite a first year as well. Like you, I also had one book take off and it's been my best seller ever since that first Q4! I do also now have other books that are getting closer to it, in terms of sales and reviews. I think there is somewhat of a snowball effect -- the amount of reviews I got during November/December seem to have helped a lot. Good luck with the year ahead and look forward to hearing about your journey. :)

I like how you said "my first books were not very good." It's so true. It's a learning experience. I don't like some of the ones I've made before I started learning more and I'm sure my designs are only going to get better.
I commented back in February with only a few months of KDP publishing under my belt. Sold a few books here and there. Now, it's May and I am happy to say that each day gets better and better. Yesterday, I sold 15 of one book I created. the other day, I sold 20 of it. Plus other books as well. Many books are now selling that weren't. It will be interesting to see what happens now that summer is coming. I do recall you saying that this can be a slow time, so I am prepared. What will I do? Create some great Fall books! I published my first low content (a daily journal) book on KDP on 14-th January this year, followed by another low content book, a coloring book and a travel book with beautiful photos. So, there are 4 books till now, and I work now at a second volume of that coloring book for children and adults as well. So far, no income, no sell! I was nearly to give up, before watching your video, but now I consider to think a little bit the next few days... Mean time, I began a little digital design photos on Print on Demand web sites (Spring, Printify), but with nou sales, so far... While my Niche has very low competition it also has a small audience. I make decent money but I'm not in your league. This video has me thinking about change. July and August are traditionally NON SALES month unless you are specifically in an industry that caters to 'summer' somehow. Those two months are all about travel and going back to school. I've been selling on ebay/amazon for 20 years now and it's always been that way.

Hi Danesha, 4 books is a great start but if they are low content then it is a good idea to make more to see which niches sell. I'm glad you are not giving up, you can do this!

I think I started running ads in November 2020 and gave up after a few days as they were not producing sales and I was losing money. Then I learned more about them and tried again in December 2020. It really helped. My December income report video explains it in more details.

What an inspiring journey Nuria, thanks for sharing all those tips, very informative as usual...if you don't mind, could you please clarify the following for me? 1) What was the category of that book that gave you the very first success - was it a logbook? 2) Did you have to use an ad on that book initially to get you the first few 100 quids? 3) I made a coloring book and as I wasn't appearing anywhere in the search I put a couple of quids on ad and overnight it gave me 4 sales. But the timing of the ad proved to be crucial as competitors apparently bring your balance down by invalid clicks I believe - do you face this too? It would be much appreciated if you could please clarify these, thanks muchly 💛
The book is a kind of prompted journal targeting a specific niche. I didn't start ads until December 2020, I had organic sales. Ads can help but it's not absolutely necessary.
You should consider voice over work, audio books or podcast. Your voice is so calming. Thanks for being transparent on your journey.

Hi Danesha, 4 books is a great start but if they are low content then it is a good idea to make more to see which niches sell. I'm glad you are not giving up, you can do this!

Thank you for sharing your journey so far. When did you start running ads with Amazon? Have the ads helped your total sales yet or are you still figuring them out?
I think I started running ads in November 2020 and gave up after a few days as they were not producing sales and I was losing money. Then I learned more about them and tried again in December 2020. It really helped. My December income report video explains it in more details.

What an inspiring journey Nuria, thanks for sharing all those tips, very informative as usual...if you don't mind, could you please clarify the following for me?
1) What was the category of that book that gave you the very first success - was it a logbook?
2) Did you have to use an ad on that book initially to get you the first few 100 quids?
3) I made a coloring book and as I wasn't appearing anywhere in the search I put a couple of quids on ad and overnight it gave me 4 sales. But the timing of the ad proved to be crucial as competitors apparently bring your balance down by invalid clicks I believe - do you face this too?
It would be much appreciated if you could please clarify these, thanks muchly 💛
The book is a kind of prompted journal targeting a specific niche. I didn't start ads until December 2020, I had organic sales. Ads can help but it's not absolutely necessary.
