    Lovely to see you doing this. I made a number of books by hand in the eighties using an Apple Laserwriter using similiar techniques.

    I am wondering if you have any suggestions for where I can find a place to print out the cover (I just have a simple home hp printer)? I believe my photo book will end up being somewhere between 8x10" and 8.5x11"... so, if I am following you properly, in order to make the cover one piece, I'd need to print on a page that is maybe 9x24". This may be an obvious answer (I hope!) ... but I just cannot think of where to have this done. THANK YOU!

    Wow, that was fast paced! :) Lots of know how in a short video. How do you divide the book into sections for printing? 🤔

      my printer does that automatically but most designers have an option to print booklet format

      @@PhotoBookGuru I have this issue too. I am using Affinity Publisher 2. I have a duplex printer. I am selecting booklet but it is printing all the pages as if they can all be folded one inside the other not three pages at a time as in your signatures.

    Thank you for your awesome tutorials! What printer do you use for this project? I'm planning on purchasing a laser printer to make photobooks, could you advise please?

      Mondi Color Copy 200gsm. That will make the pages 400gsm when stuck together. You can also have a look at Xerox or HP 200gsm

      @@PhotoBookGuru Thank you Guru! I was curious about the printer itself, which model is it?

    hi @photo book guru the pages are those photo papers or just a regular paper that is 200 gsm?

    • @PhotoBookGuru
      @PhotoBookGuru  Год назад

      It's 200gsm laser paper for photos and text, so better than standard bond paper

    Is one of the main reasons to bind with thread vs. just gluing the spine like you show in your other video so that the book can be fully opened / the pages can open flat? Is the only way to get a fully-openable book?

    • @PhotoBookGuru
      @PhotoBookGuru  Год назад

      It allows the book to open but it is also much stronger. If you only glue, when the book is forced open some pages can fall out. Stitching will last longer.

      I also want to know if I can use 2 a4 instead of A3 for the cover.

      cover is 100gsm but the board is 2mm thick. I used A3
