You got to love this guy. Great stylistic player (decade almost constantly in top 10)great ambassasor, great content personality. We are very proud of him in The Netherlands. Very happy is on his way back (top 10-15)after a tough year.
9:35 Anish cmon - you’re defo a level higher than the other contemporaries you mention at this point. No offense to them either but you are a top chess player - you’ve had a down time recently but we are all confident you will bounce back in no time ❤🎉
I must say this ChessBase India interviewer is amazing, he's got everything, an all-rounder in this field from taking interviews of new players in Olympiad to the legends of the game, has superb knowledge about the game. Sometimes I feel he's better than Sagar Shah ( no offense). Kudos to you man!!!!
I don't like the no increment especially in rapid format... I know they have done it just in the name of "excitement" for the so called "new audience"..... But all we will get is sagar jumping or having a heart attack when players start throwing pieces at each other in time pressure 🙃🙃
Exactly like if you get low on time then there's no turning around from there, Idk if they have consulted with an expert because even in OTB Armageddon games both side get +1 sec increment after 40 moves (for ex- norway chess), Even with that +1 we still see pieces flying in norway chess, it will be pure chaos, i dont like this, its like u can even loose in an endgame with 3 pawns up cause of no time Or fail to checkmate your opponent with a rook against king Maybe there is still time to discuss this format over the technical meeting that happens between organizers and captains
@@sumanraj9394 Exactly... It's basically like if u are caught in the opening... It's done..... I hope some players or sagar at least point it out at least for the sake of viewers or else everyone will lose interest.... But currently they all just seem too overjoyed that someone is spending money in chess....
@@macroma Yea 2 min apart thing is good But with this time control there will be no time scrambles cause whenever the time trouble phase will come someone will just outright collapse It wont be like - look that guy has played his last 10 moves with just 5 sec and he keeps fighting, finding resources and tricks and tactics (that brings excitement and anxiety) Here it will be like when player will get down to 10 sec - the game will be over within next 4-5 moves almost every time Only excitement can be if both players are on 10 sec at the exact point of time which is highly unlikely Plus it reduces the quality of games, if hikaru sees his opponent has just 1min left, Then he might start playing anything whether the move is good or not just because its almost certain he will win on time (basically flagging will become a significant strategy, and i think this sort of tactics shouldn't happen in serious tournaments maybe in titled tuesday but not here)
At 10:00, Giri nails it re Kasparov. In the 1995 Anand vs Kasparov world championship, Anand took the lead in game 9. In game 10, every time Kasparov made a move, he got up to go to the bathroom and slammed the door behind him so hard the room shook. The young and mild mannered Anand did not complain to the arbiter, who also did not act. Bullying destroys lives, and bullied children suffer lifelong low self esteem. I don't care how good his moves are on the board; if you need such tactics in order to win, then you are no champion. Indian chess is strong because the youngsters want to be like their gentleman hero, Vishy Anand.
This is true actually…I remember watching a video of young Magnus’ first game against Kasparov and Kasparov was absolutely brutal in his attitude towards the youngster. He came late, made faces during the game, slammed the clock and just abruptly left the board after the game in a hurry leaving the young Magnus just staring in his seat looking at his possible idol just walk away without a word
wdym? He’s not forgotten lol…he’s had a down time recently but has been participating in every crucial tournament. Plus he won Tata Steel Masters not long ago…
Its just content The marketforce decides whats being put out Right now with WCC coming and this legendary double gold olympics performance, gukesh is probably the most hyped player right now (deservingly so) Even if they post magnus now it just wont get that level of engagement See how much magnus they posted last time during world rapid and blitz cause he was the most hyped player in that event.

From the top 10 shorts 11 were with gukesh ~Anish
Anish impression about Sagar's passion in reviewing the game is true. I agree.
Anish spit truth on face straight forward guy....😂
That’s the Dutch culture tbh - they’re known to be brutally honest

The last 3 mins ❤
Actually cried a little
Anish handed over a love letter to Sagar that all of us would love to sign
6:09 “over-organised” = “micromanaged” as he goes on to explain in detail later 😂
I think it's Anish favourite hoodie 😅 had anyone noticed this or it's me only?
Gukesh earned it though 😂. Also Anish said thst gukesh is photogenic 😂. Just wait till gukesh becomes world chess champion.
really hope Anish will do commentary on the world championship match. he is a delight to listen to

This is very wholesome 😊😀.
Good to hear good things about the league ❤

do you work in a aata ki chakki by any chance
💯 true, I hope gukesh wins. If not, it's a huge blow to chess base india

Its no increment and each game start 2 minutes apart, so peoples can watch all times troubles. I think that is great
@@macroma Yea 2 min apart thing is good

It wont be like - look that guy has played his last 10 moves with just 5 sec and he keeps fighting, finding resources and tricks and tactics (that brings excitement and anxiety)
Here it will be like when player will get down to 10 sec - the game will be over within next 4-5 moves almost every time
Only excitement can be if both players are on 10 sec at the exact point of time which is highly unlikely
Plus it reduces the quality of games, if hikaru sees his opponent has just 1min left,
Then he might start playing anything whether the move is good or not just because its almost certain he will win on time (basically flagging will become a significant strategy, and i think this sort of tactics shouldn't happen in serious tournaments maybe in titled tuesday but not here)

Anish is also Gukified the fact is he just not accepting it
why do you leave out the greatest chess player of all time?...ROBERT JAMES FISCHER
Chessbase India, I want more about Gukesh, so keep doing as you doing !!

Anish is right: it's annoying that since the olympiad CBI is basically a channel to promote Chess in India with Gukesh as their Goat.
Isn't chessbaseindia youtube channel's main motto is to promote chess and indian chess players in india??? Wha's wrong here
So they're doing what they were supposed to do...
Its just content
