Salut !
An artist with a message in his music. This is one of the my dynamic songs of all time both lyrically and musically. Listen to the arrangement of these instruments. Sounds like he used an orchestra! Stevie Wonder is truly a living historical legend. We need to recognize, celebrate, and acknowledge this before we lose him like we lost Michael and Whitney. I'm not saying he's using drugs, I'm just saying he's a great artist, song writer, producer, musician, humanitarian, etc.
This Album is THE Masterpiece, Stevie Wonder deserve a reconition for being a pionneer of good electronic music, this song and " Black Man ", " Village Ghetto Land " was the proof of it also " Superstition " made in 1972 before Kraftwerk.
I'm a child of the 80's grew up with this Album actually on 8-track! I feel ya! I got the Remastered CD like 5/6years ago now!?!? Love it! I was going to ask what keyboard did Stevie use on this Album for those grooving basslines...I figured that it was a Moog. But seeing the Mini-Moog in the 3rd Picture on this confirms it! John Legend has Stevie's SOUND on a song called "MAXINE"...I always loved THIS sound and of course ANY Synthesizer! Takes me back really Synths from the New Jack Swing Era!
Ah la langue francaise hein, c'est pas donné à tout le monde de la bien connaître ;) @ offyerrocker As i said it in french, this is the FIRST version of this song, you're right :)
@HairMetalxxx He didn't steal it. He gave credit and Stevie sang it with him. Credit was given. He just thought that it ruined the song. I would disagree but that's a whole other conversation.
@Loki0115 You must try the Ray Barretto's version available on my channel. It's a cool one but very different from Stevie Wonder. I like them both. Coolio, I don't like
moi étant Arabe Marocain , je pense que ça c'est de la vraie musique , après si les Américains voient que Justin Bieber c'en est une , là il y a un sérieux problème .
i wonder how many people watched this video just to yell at the people who think that Amish Paradise or Gangsters' Paradise came first (WHICH I DON'T THINK). I know that this came first, but I'm just thinking...
SxPx310, think about Al's song as a parody of something really worth a parody. It actually makes as much sense as Coolio's song, except it doesn't glorify looserhood. Beside, it's a very good song. I enjoy it a lot.
the Originals are always better, Stevie is the one. First version I heard was by Ray Barretto, very nice latin style, check it out. George Michael did one too, all before Gangsta Paradise came out. Respect!

@HairMetalxxx no he aint, amish paradise was a parody and coolio's version could almost match the same level as stevie's he has the right..
@Loki011Most people never heard S.W. singing it.
i never heard this version i heard gangasta paradise and amish paradise is this the orginal version of this song
i wonder how many people watched this video just to yell at the people who think that Amish Paradise or Gangsters' Paradise came first (WHICH I DON'T THINK).

George Michael did one too, all before Gangsta Paradise came out. Respect!
Now I know the truth.
Past time Paradise > Gangsta's paradise
Amish paradise is a parody on this song. I suppose gangsta paradise is too?
The Boomers did. Great, isn't it? My original is worn down to a thread. :o)
You link the video?
Stevie pas Steevie ..
