I would have done ANYTHING to see NIN live back then. I saw them in 2009 which was a great show and I will be seeing them again next year. Although, the old school NIN seemed really intense back then.
I saw his With Teeth tour in 2007 at Brixton. It was mindblowing. He did so much from PHM, Spiral, Fragile, and even Natural Born Killers, and then With Teeth. It seemed like such a huge set, but I never wanted it to end. He was in superb shape too, it was when he'd basically just got his act together, was sober, was recharged and supercharged!
@@porkwoofles3909 i was there for one of those gigs... it was so energising that my mate was constantly holding me back from jumping over the balcony lol. But it lacked the sheer psychotic synergy of Glastonbury 2K for example - the "new" guitarist with his showy shenanigans detracted from the performance by his efforts, rather than adding to it, imo. Was still a great gig ofc, but i wish i'd seen them back in the DS days lol.
saw them rite from the beginning from the side stage at LOLA , The Final Show Ever at the Wiltern in L.A ,,yeah he pulled a ' THE WHO's final show to' then a bunch after,,got to say the early shows had the element of extreme fuckin danger ,,,,miss that
Saw(tooth) this tour in 94. Halloween night; Houston TX. They started with pinion then strait to mr. self destruct. All of us who had seats in the lower row jumped on the floor while bouncers tried to grab people. lmao. It's like we were hypnotized or some shit. My visuals started hard during eraser. That live show made that my favorite nin trk from then on. Late, a
in the early 90's i saw them life in the Paradiso Amsterdam, and it was an epic concert It had the same intensity but in front of the speakers it Was LOUD & LOUD; one of the best shows i've ever seen
early 90s NIN certainly wasnt as polished live as they are now, but I think part of the allure was seeing things get broken on stage and have things fall apart. Kinda like how people don't go to Nascar to see cars make left turns all day or to the circus to see the lion behave itself.

Glastonbury and twice in London. Each time a little different atmosphere. The song set doesn't count so much with bands as good as NIN. But the early shows were acid driven mental. A beautiful experience. TR is one of gods gifts to us. Who dare slag of a musical messiah? Arse holes.
Does he always start with Terrible Lie? I love that song!!! His old shit is way better than the new but I think he's still putting out great music. His new music is more positive, the 80's-90's stuff was pretty bleak. Then again, those times were pretty bleak. A lot of angst.
one thing that would have been cool about seeing them at this time is that you weren't guaranteed the show was going to end with either Hurt or Head Like a Hole. good songs but by no means the best.a little variety is all i'm sayin'.
nworbrelytthefirst sorry i`m afraid i don`t swing that way dude... but good for you, hope you find some gool ol fat greasy trucker to cuddle with you. :)
Actually the main set before the encore always ended with head like a hole even back in the early days. I've seen multiple nin tours since back in the mid-90s and every show I've been to except the Bowie tour had one section end with HLAH. The same was true here. The final song was different but before the encore was still head like a hole.
+Patrick Lynn Particularly in the earlier days, after an hour and a half of performance this violent and high-energy, I imagine it would be bloody hard to pull one more song like that out, which is why Hurt, as both a brilliant song in it's own right and a relatively easier song to actually sing, turns up so often at the end of NIN sets.
Hurt is NOT an easy song to sing. It's why cover versions are so poor...Johnny Cash has a voice which is different so it works. TR is a fantastic vocalist. The voice fits the music. Couldn't see him doing Delila.
The audio is not off, and he's not lip syncing. The audio is taken from another live may be? You can tell he's not lip syncing, all of his lives are different.
Multiple shows and not only have I never seen him lip sync but when he's had prerecorded voices (the talking parts in I do not want this for instance, now he just plays that part instrumental but he used to have the talking bridge part prerecorded) he didn't bother lip syncing. It was like he knew you could tell it wasn't live so he didn't insult your intelligence.
lol I've seen NIN 6, count em' 6 times. 3 straight in Chi town. I've been splashed with Reznor holy water in the pit. GTFO. The audio is remastered, dude. Come on now.
Wow, what an emotional performance of Something I Can Never Have.
I would have done ANYTHING to see NIN live back then. I saw them in 2009 which was a great show and I will be seeing them again next year. Although, the old school NIN seemed really intense back then.
back then he was going thru emotional shit. was big into coke and booze too. he's more tame now because he's figured out how to manage that.

Pinion is such an awesome opener. Such tension.

Great show. Reptile sounded fab.
I wish I could rise back to '94 and See this awesome performance. But unfortunately i wasn't even one year old. fuck this shit!
The Only time performance kick's ass.
The Only Time - incredible!

Congratulations on the post, if you have more shows with this quality, the fans of the band would like to thank you
This is so Great And Funny.
Yes, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! For putting this up!!

Thanks for this. I was there at the Forum that night - Epic gig...
best recording of the original
Happiness in SLAVERY!!
Badass
You just have to be a brave artist, when your idol is Dawid Bowie.
maybe NME magazine wrote something bad about him
@@thadeusstary4951 lol fuck NME; no way i'm accepting their t+c's to read a smartass review by a bunch of what i know to be idiots lol
Wrong venue, its the Forum in Kentish Town, not Brixton Academy. Great show though!
Short Man Syndrome Absolutely right, I was there!
aaaah! Drugs can sometimes be a beautiful thing!

the audio is pretty much off the entire video.
The audio is not off, and he's not lip syncing. The audio is taken from another live may be? You can tell he's not lip syncing, all of his lives are different.
It's remastered.. lol
I'VE seen him lip sync tons. which is upsetting cuz i'm a huge fan of live shit. maybe there's a legit reason, but I cant think of one

It's because this footage is from the Academy and the audio is from The Forum - a show just a few days later. Don't be dense.
