The ending just made logical sense to me and it was something I've thought about since the first film. Arthur was never going to be the actual "Joker" who Batman meets 15+ years from now. By that time Arthur would be reaching 50 and he's simply not fit for the role as the Crown Prince of Crime. So I always assumed that someone else would take up the mantle of Joker someone who is willing to fully embrace the mayhem and thata what I got from this films ending. A younger Arkham prisoner kills Arthur and becomes The Joker, mayhe not right away but he'll definitely evolve into the character in the coming years, facing off against Batman etc.
Similarly to Lee Quinn and Joker's followers, viewers who idealized Arthur Fleck's actions in Joker may be disappointed by Joker: Folie à Deux's ending. Arthur couldn't be more different from the ruthless, anarchic villain that Joker's ending set him up to be. Arthur Fleck was never the coldhearted murderer that his Joker persona suggested to the public. Arthur always struggled to kill. It was only a matter of time until Lee saw through the Joker and abandoned Arthur. Likewise, it was only a matter of time until his fans and the media chewed him up, spit him out, and replaced him with a new Joker.
I respectfully disagree Armin, in my honest opinion I see this as a masterpiece and I would go far to say that it’s better than the first film. As a film and as a work of art, I loved this piece.
the core of this Joker is telling the story how the society builds Arthur into the Joker. The society from the power grabbing Judge, the DA, the abusive prison guard, the fanatic media and the support of Joker were all mad. Hence in a mad society the only mentally unfit is the sane Joker. So Arthur became the most sane and logic person in the end, by admitting he is not Joker. Then the society killed him. As Arthur gaze through the us audience in the final minutes, he did not give us what we wanted for a Joker's ending. Just as he did not give in to Harley Quinn, the media, the society, all expected him to turn into Joker. Brilliant, but not a lot of people will understand.
Best ending ever. I like how Arthur Fleck is the precursor to the real Joker. I always knew Fleck wasn't the Joker because I saw him as a bumbling delusional lunatic without real motivations.
The end actually is flalk was never the real joker , this is the dark knight joker origin story , Ricky is heath leger joker , he does the same laugh and everything . Remember heath joker was always telling a different story about how he got those scars .
That doesn't make any sense. Were that true, Joker would not have been a new element in those movies. Gordon, the mob, Dent, Bruce Wayne himself would be completely familiar with The Joker name. That didn't happen. This movie isn't really tied to any other Batman films. So that's an odd theory.
brilliant troll. Have a bunch of people pay to watch Joker only to find out it wasn't Joker and that they're incels can't imagine why Hollywood can't make money anymore
Hes a human joker was a Part of his personality not his whole personality this was a real world take on the joker so this made complete sense hes supposed to be a human not a cartoon villain
Kind of parallels real life This was about how people shouldn’t look up to Joker for obvious reasons and people lost interest in this film and many don’t like it This Joker lost a lot of his supporters for revealing he is really just Arthur, same how this movie lost a lot of fans for many reasons and the film set to do worse than the first film and maybe even flop.
I love this entire shit show. The first movie wasn't very good and its fans have been pretty insufferable. Phillips trolling that crowd is pretty wild. And very funny.

@@LittleGalaxyBoy I immediately thought that the inmate that killed Arthur fleck is the joker we saw at the end of “The Batman”
Joker: Fully a dud.
OOOHHHHHHH IT'S COLD IN HEREEEEEEEEEEEEE
No, it corrected the 1st movie's vagueness.
Fleck was never the Joker. Just a loser who gave idea to the real Joker.

Honestly this channel had my expectations so low with all the “leaked “ endings I didn’t really mind the actual ending they did lol.

Well technically they give u a “real” Joker at the end, this Arthur is ultimately just a Joker prototype

It sounds like it's no point to this 🎦
It's entertaining as hell I think that's the point
@@jfhaze joker being a menace & facing Batman from the joker eyes would be more entertaining
@@CamCamGeez10 well probably get that in the new DCU James gun universe or Matt reeves the Batman movies
@@jfhaze so it wasn't a point to this movie the joker died from a 💣....so lame
Definitely a political statement rather than a film.

YAAAAAAWN
Not Bad At All
that ending honestly doesnt really sound as bad as people were painting it to be
I was expecting something genuinely horrid that just sounds whatever ngl
It’s really not but it does have some problems
It's really not bad at all I liked it but I liked the whole movie which seems like most others did not

I hope seth rollins gets a Joker role
Terrible film, worse ending. What a waste of talent and untapped potential
Pointless movie 🎬
Joker the mid sequel
I loved the ending and the movie
