Not sure if someone mentioned this or not, but with the leftover go pens tray, I left it as one piece and placed it horizontally instead in those drawers for my longer pens (like pilot parallels, Lamy joy, and glass dip pens). I have the mock acrylic drawers from the container store. I hope that helps to use your leftover pieces! :) love your pen collection!
Just in case you aren't aware, for the 823 remove the piston like a TWSBI and clean it that way, then let it air dry. Doesn't void the warranty and gets it MUCH cleaner than repeatedly filling with water. I have the same frustration, rather than making a pen that won't crack when you remove/replace the grip section, they just glued it and made it part of the warranty. Really Pilot? You can't do better than that on your most popular pen?
