I have an adult child with schizo affective disorder. It’s so difficult trying to rationalize with a psychotic mind. We get her together and she stops getting her injections. Then we’re back in the same cycle over and over. I’m wondering what happens to these people who have no one advocating for them? I have witnessed my daughter stuck in her mind that lies, deceives and terrifies her. I can’t imagine suffering like that with no support. There has to be more effort to look for signs. There has to be so much more emphasis on Mental Health Awareness.

The hospital push for outpatient No Matter what! It's awful. Homeless shelters or the streets while having irrational delusions, hallucinations or voices. Their needs to be regulated institutions that focus on dedicating to mental health to provide safety for them and the public. Otherwise they're on they're own. It's sad.

My boy friend accused me of having drugs in my house and keeps asking me if I'm pregnant and he is an alcoholic and does drugs but believes I'm the one that does it. And my children see this everyday. I'm exhausted,I don't know how to get him to leave . Because he turns everything around when I called the police and I got arrested. I'm walking on eggshells. He needs help but won't go. I'm at my wits end
😢

I'm sorry to hear about the difficult situation with your boyfriend. It's important to prioritize your safety and well-being, especially with your children involved. Seeking support from a DV hotline or local shelter can provide you with resources and guidance. Your safety is paramount, and there are people who can help you through this.
I'm not discounting or belittling your story. It's a tough situation. Why did YOU get arrested? What were the grounds?
Alcoholics anonymous get s restraining order and live in a shelter ..before he destroys you🎉
I am schizoaffective with bipolar and ptsd. The nightmares are so real and terrifying. Is there anybody with suggestions for the vivid nightmares? I also sleep talk and growl or groan in my sleep uncontrollably.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing such distressing nightmares and sleep disturbances. Consistent bedtime routines and relaxation techniques before sleep might help. It's also important to talk to a therapist who specializes in trauma-related disorders like PTSD for personalized support and strategies. You're not alone, and seeking help is a brave step towards feeling better.
Numero uno. Get a sleep study. It's painless. I suspected I had sleep apnea, which I have been diagnosed with. The nightmares, I have a great deal. They manifest under high anxiety situations and ironically, lack of sleep 😴. We can probably help each other out if you want to talk about this more discreetly.
❤
