- Have you ever wondered who Dr. Robotnik is or how he got to his position in the world of Sonic the Hedgehog? Well I've got you covered, at least in Archie Sonic Comics, with this video that talks about his beginnings as Doctor Julian Kintobor, through his time as the tyrannical Doctor Robotnik and then finally as the iconic Doctor Eggman. It's weird so strap in.

Seeing he had normal eyes before they became black and red, it make me wonder if he changed his eyes for robotics one or other things.
One thing I always wondered about Archie Sonic is why in the issue where the original Robotnik returned didn’t Eggman recognize Robotnik? They literally spoke to each other in a earlier issue back when Eggman was still Robo Robotnik 2.0 and no Im not talking about the original Robo Robotnik either

Well… that was… something else. I didn’t grow up reading the Archie Comics and I forget how wild some of these early plot points were in this. Especially when Penders was still head writer. Plus, wouldn’t this just all be retconned later in the Archie run before it was inevitably canned by SEGA?
Early Archie Sonic was the wild wild west when it came to story telling lol. Yeah, spoilers for the follow-up video but, it'll all be for nothing because it all gets retconned lol
@@FantasticSamtastic I can kind of understand now why SEGA is more restrictive with the IDW Comics. As well as making an attempt to keep up with the established lore now with the games.

One thing you got wrong the satellite with Robo-Robotnik's conscious wasn’t in the Prime zone it was in Robo-Robotnik's original zone.

@@FantasticSamtasticyeah another thing that Robo-Robotnik wasn’t even the same one from issue 19. It’s said the one from issue 19 was destroyed with his giant borg and the one that took Robotnik's place after his death was called Robo-Robotnik 2.0 the one that would become Eggman. As he sent the original Robotnik back to the Prime Zone he learned about the Giant Borg found the piece that ended up in his universe and used it to build his new body. He then killed his enemies with a nuke. Then he got bored and went to the prime zone to take his dead counterpart's place.
Yeah that's my bad as well, if I remember right, that's a change Ian Flynn kinda cemented that wasn't super clear early on before hand. When reading the comics sequentially I don't think they make reference to the different robo-robotniks and that's kinda how I was rolling here
That room Kodos took Julian to, including the portal in it, originally belong to Ixis Naugus. Kodos betrayed Naugus and threw him into the portal. Then Juilan would later fo the same thing to Kodos.
Other RUclips channels only cover a few stories like the lsd hotdog and go archie comics were weird

King Julian and eggman share the same first name. Therefore king Julian=Eggman.
Why did his eyes change though? Did he replace them with robotics?
I don't think it's ever stated. I always assumed it was robotics
