The primary issue with my parents taking away my phone was the utter helplessness I felt. I mean, it's stupid to put your entire self-worth in one device. But it was a weird time. I was realizing that I couldn't day dream through choosing my career, (so, no literature hons for me,) understanding that studies won't be coming as easy in eleventh/twelfth grade more frustration due to my class results) and then, if anything happened(I didn't sleep on time, scored poor in my test, breathed to loud), my dad would take away the phone - it didn't even have a simcard. I just used it to write and read novels.
Now that I'm older. I just think that all that drama I created was understandable, but stupid. And just me escaping the real world.
It's stupid to add a comment like this below a stand-up, but I chose to put in my two cents since I'll be forgetting what it felt like to be a teenager soon.
