I feel that the operator could cut 25% of that cycle time if he bit the pile at Seat to Eye level, cutting down fighting the heavy weigt of bottom of the pile and bitting into the looser material. After a few loads dug, he'd have a shelf on which the entire drag bucket would stay and which would even hold the larger rocks. He'd be digging at almost dump level.
