Its really facinating to watch...you can really see the similarities in fencing and boxing footwork, for and back, lunge and duck. Really intersting stuff, just shows that the human body moves most effectivly in certain ways !
For the past few weeks i've been focusing on these drills to build up strength endurance precision etc. I did this today 3 rounds back to back... wow one hell of a work out legs are stiff and sore no pain no gain... thanks again Paul for sharing these.
There's an Escrima place near me that I'm thinking of giving a go. I'm 41, fat, and out of shape, but I'm trying. I'm trying to get in shape and running, and martial arts are the two things that appeal to me most. I think they might both complement each other. However, I wonder if I'm too old to take up Escrima? It seems like a pretty quick martial art. Also, while self defence isn't my primary reason for looking into martial arts(I'm more interested in fitness and discipline) I wonder if it is effective if you don't happen to have anything you can use as a weapon?
Yes, definitely give it a try. No such thing as starting too old. Many of my students start training with me in the 40’s, 50’s and even 60’s! Yes, there are empty hands of Escrima. 👍🏼
These are not purpleheart trainers in this video. These aluminums were made by a student of mine. However, the purpleheart trainers I’ve used are pretty good just composite doesn’t have the same weight. 👍🏻
honestly as someone who has done krav maga for 2 years or so I am now incorporating kali into my training it's not a matter of which is better it's a matter of being able to master and expand your knowledge of different martial arts
One of the best and most favourite firing workouts you give) Thanks for leggs in fire))

@@kalicenter thank you for your reply! And wow, those are very well made, your student is quite skilled.
Hi I'm beginner training for Kali how can I practice if I am left handed"??
Just do the drills in your left hand. 👍🏻
@@kalicenter Thank you sir, I'll do the drills 👍
Which is better krav maga or kali please reply
That’s a personal preference.
Depends really, but try both and see what you think work best.
@@kalicenter wise answer Mr. Paul
