I just bought a 23 but new so got the “1800” price from a local dealer. I am really enjoying it! I’m in my 50s and was looking for a new e-bike and saw one of these on marketplace was going to buy used but ended up buying one of these after watching reviews and your channel was one. I’m in Nebraska but had never heard of one. I think not a lot of people at least around here have not heard of them. People comment on it all the time. I think more marketing would help.
Thanks Dan... Beautiful winter ride. Glad those heated gloves are working out for you. I'm not a big fan of Honda anymore because they have become way too expensive... with the exception of the Hornet. I have my eye on a CFMoto Papio. These are serious mini-motos. 126 cc air cooled, 9.4 hp, EFI, 64 mph, upside-down front shocks, mono shock rear, LED lights all around, LCD display, 6 speed, ABS disk brakes, 1.9 gal gas tank, 251 lbs. The leftover new 2023 models are selling for around $1900 at some dealerships looking to dispose of their flooring costs.😮 Gord
I think it’s because it’s a scooter. The price is great, and the speed is okay-ish. People love the Grom, and it only goes maybe 15 mph faster than the Navi, but it’s a motorcycle. The US isn’t a big scooter market, unfortunately.
nice video. I think it matters what market your in. Looking at your video it looks like your more on the rural side of things. My guess is the navi is not great for that sort of riding (they also have bad range with that small gas tank). I live in an urban area. I have actually seen the opposite where i'm starting to see as many Navis as Groms on the road. I feel like they will stay around until they are just regulated out by some law like emissions or safety. In 2024 I have been asked the most times by people about the Navi and how to get one by strangers than any other year.
Nice ride . I’ve got to get some heated gloves. Love my Navi . It’s not for 50 mph roads . Most of the mini moto line up hasn’t changed much except colors . Grom got a 5th gear . Maybe they will have to change to fuel injection because of emissions? Can’t beat it for the $ . It’s not a road burner but still fun to ring it out . I’ve never hit 50 , and with the small tires , that’s ok . Buy aPCX if you want freeway speeds .
If it only would go 55 out the door. That's whats holding me back at the moment. Mods interest me but I'm not interested in modding it. Also in my state taxes and insurance is required unlike the metropolitan and ruckus which I am currently searching for. Great video as usual.
Yeah, I'm fortunate that I can go anywhere in town, and to neighboring towns on sub 50 mph roads. A lot of areas involving a good bit of sprawl, you'd be pretty confined because at some point you just have to take a faster road if you ever want to get where you're going.
I think something people leave out is Honda sells the Honda Activa in India which is the scooter the Navi is based off of. The Activa is cheaper also (about 900 usd). So the Navi kind of feels like a less practical and more price scooter to them.
No way it would be discontinued worldwide- these things are everywhere like a plague in Latin America. They may just pull it from the US market if they aren’t selling as they hoped. If Honda was smart- they would bring the ADV350X- that scooter to me would make more sense in the US.
In the 70s ,my first bike was the honda 400A.loved that bike,it had a hi and low. And much later the 350 and 250.now the 125 and monkey at 71 years old
If they are discontinued, they will probably become a bike with a cult following, because Navis are mechanically sound and fun to ride. The scooter/motorcycle hybrid design is a novelty, and all Honda products are respected as quality stuff.
I absolutely love mine. But fact of the matter is, mine is still the only one on the road in the whole county. What Navis my local dealership sells, they sell to people out of town. I think the issue lies with the fact that it's an amazing city bike. It's not versatile, if you ever needed to take an extended highway trip though. For me, I would prefer have the best of each world. So a perfect city bike, and a great used road bike, as you can find used shadows for not much more than a Navi. But based on how well the Grom sells, a lot of people don't want to be multiple bike owners, and want something new, and rather cheap that can do it all if they need it to. And the Navi just isn't that bike.
But that can't be right what about marketing, designers and engineers. Thry add up quick. If y'all started adding up every aspect of business that creates something it is wort. A lot more
A 10hp motor online is like about 200bucks. Ofcourse the honda navi engine is different and less powerful but in retrospect you can't say that the engine is 200 bucks and everything else is also 200 bucks that'll actually be crazy
@@Kwahbi a) Mass-production would keep cost down. b) Assembly line like Honda would get engines cheaper than retail, I would think. c) $400 is just a claim from a video, no research to back it, like I said.
one of the local dealers in my area has 2023 model Navis in stock in Red or Coffee for $1605 (before fees etc)... and as tempted as I am at that price, it's just too much overlap with my electric scooter. but yeah, I think Honda needs to find a happy balance with the Navi. IMO, it's *too* cheap currently. it is a dirt low price. but it's also an underwhelming 109cc carbureted engine and has a just a 0.9 gallon fuel tank, and an instrument panel from the late 70s. I kind of think that a Navi with a slightly more capable fuel injected 125cc engine that would get something like 140mpg and a 2 gallon tank for $500-$700 more would be more compelling to a lot of folks. (then again, maybe that's just what I would want and not the market as a whole). those snow covered fields are pretty... when looking at them in your videos. However, the console on my XMax said 68F this afternoon, so I can live without seeing the pretty white fields in person, lolz.
Note: I want to be clear that the current Navi is a king for being a full on motor vehicle that costs less than some electric bikes. Whatever shortcomings it may have, it is priced well for what you do get .... It's just that there is a certain bit of I'd be more interested if it had a few better parts even though that would cost more.
To me the navi makes more sense than the ruckus and much cheaper

I just got a 24 for 1800 but there’s no difference at all
@ congratulations on the new Navi

As always great to hear from you.
@@slowridersmotovlog201 Thanks Dan. Be blessed brother, Gord
Honestly some people don’t want to ride by starting with a grom so these are good options for new riders
Most definitely

Honda trail 125 supremacy
The snow makes for a pretty ride. Does the jacket keep you warm?

Great insight and comment
Hmmm great question. I lack the intelligence to even try to attempt to answer that. thank you for all you do.
I was thinking maybe $500-600 to manufacture. They probably use the parts from other scoots with exception of the body to keep the cost down.
That’s what I was thinking as well
Most of it is from an Activa scooter

Looks like the Navi is being discontinued in India due to poor sales, but will continue in NA and Canada.

They started marketing the DAX in the United States, so they're kind of glutted with mini moto's now. They might very well discontinue the Navi now.
Should I worry about the parts availability? I know there cheaper
Definitely not

I saw in another video that it cost Honda about $400 to build a Navi. No research to back it.

Are you not afraid of caking road salt all over the underbelly of the bike?
It wasn’t bad at all. I hit with a warm wash afterwards
Oh No. I just bought my 23 Navi
It’s a wait see right now.
The Navi should be discontinued. There is a big market in beginner motorcycles.
It should be it's garbage!!
