Unfortunately ninja films was really cheesy and today the ninja concept nevermind for the film industry. But there are great concepts like shinobi, ninja gaiden or this. Naruto... well... is for children.
There's literally hundreds of arcade games they could do great live action / animated adaptations of (not even counting games that started on home game console - they're still trying to get all the rights and financial backing for an MGS series / film).
@@rolandomota3243 I'll halfway agree with you about old late 70s / 80s / early 90s ninja films, and will give some leeway to American Ninja, Revenge of the Ninja, and say that westernized Ninja films could've benefited more from having production and casting in Hong Kong film during the era of "ninja fascination" in movies, TV, comics, and gaming. If Golden Harvest and Shaw Bros embraced more ninja related subject matter alongside their general "kung-fu master" offerings, those guys would've put out some pretty cool Ninja films with great choreography & action.
The fall before the final boss was total bs treachery. Lots of trial and error to find the safe passage. This is where the MAME's kwik save and reload features is a gaming godsend!
When in primary school, I don’t study, I go to local arcade and play in Penang Malaysia. There is a slot for us to put money (20 cent per game). I’m the only one who can play all the level till the owner store watching me playing, he so excited.
I always found the PC Engine version to just be better than the arcade version, the console mode that gives you a life bar (well, you can survive a few hits before dying - it's been a long time since I played it!) Was more palatable. That said, I grew up playing this on the Commodore 64, so, yeah!
From what I understand, Tsukikage isn’t human, but a youkai-specifically an okuri-oukami, I think. The Blind Priest probably sealed away his wolf form to (try to) make him easier to control. Then Tsukikage learns said priest killed his parents…
Keeps the scaling difficulty down - large enemies die quicker, basically. Drawback is less coverage VS small enemies, and less slowdown. (this effect is also why large enemies die easier when you respawn at a checkpoint) EDIT: I like to go with two shadows and two powerups, for the sickle and grenades.
The game's hitboxes are already pretty small, plus any time you're firing the sickle, you get full-body projectile invincibility. You can test it out easily in stage 3-1, the riflemen's bullets will cancel on impact with you while the sickle is out. (the sword can't do this)

イメージファイト、ビジランテ、ミスターヘリの冒険とかでも使ってる位だもんね
最終ステージの「奈落」で心が折れたプレイヤーは多いだろうね。
それを踏まえても、このゲームは忍者アクション物の最高傑作だと思う。

They should make a live action movie from this. I like the visuals and artistic concepts of the game. A very interesting and unique game to play.

Love how near the last boss, tons of ninja's, frozen in midair, ready to gut the protagonist should he come too close.

The part where u fall past the floating ninjas for lile 2 mins i could never get past. Turns out its the last stage. Life of regrets.
