最後の打ち上げみたいなシーン、いいね。
For people trying to replicate this feat, the really important thing to memorize is where the wolves come from. transforming at first chance makes the game much easier.
Also if you play two players (which DOES make the game easier) , split the first two orbs, but have one player collect both the second two. then as beast you can cover the other player to make it easy to collect the last two orbs. do trade off who gets beast mode first, though, because that player will usually get more points during the level.
I can remember being in the Arcade, and hearing "Welcome to your doom!" a thousand times...lol!

I love how all the power ups your body gets bigger but your head stays the same. I miss my Genesis. Played the shit outta this and Space Harrier 2 when I got my first Genesis

the undead cyclops on the first level gave me nightmares as a kid , in fact, many of the monsters in this game were unique and haven't been used to death in other games ...
懐かしい、中学生だからメガドライブなんて買えるハズもなく、中古ゲームショップでちょっとプレイさしてもらえたっけ、熊さんに変身した時の正面の顔が可愛くて好きでしたw変身した際のイケイケなBGMも好きだった❗

You can't turn into a random beast until you kick the glowing two headed dog in the faces and collect 2 blue balls. Only way it can happen.

I played this on arcade as kid and found it a coin muncher, and played it again recently as a unlock able on "The Sega Megadrive Collection" on 360 and still found it tough as fuck.
Areal enemy pattern memorzation game, but this dude make it look easy!

i spent alot of quarters playing this game in the 80's
心細い思いでパワーボールを集め変身したら雑魚を一掃する展開は結構うまいと思った
The Genesis conversion was pretty much arcade perfect, in fact, they even added title screen music.
It's a fantastic port, especially when you consider it was one of the very first games developed for the system, but far from perfect. I encourage you to play them back to back. You might even prefer the Genesis version in that case, but you'll see the differences.

The Golden Axe port on the other hand was night and day's difference

Wow, the arcade graphics and audio are so much better than the Sega Genesis version of this game.
Especially sprite scaling and audio pitch/ length
Sad to think we nearly got graphics on this level at home but the Sega System 16 arcade was seen as too expensive. It would have been Neo Geo expensive

You know I only just noticed that the wolf/gold wolf are the only properly animated face transformations... all the other ones just blink really fast without the detailed animation. Could they have possibly ran out of time or money producing the game? Not that it really matters, I just find it interesting.
