I really love the interpretations of the leviathan and slime here. A lot of fantasy settings that feature well known creatures like these always seem to copy and paste what feels like the exact same thing, but these are some pretty fresh spins on the ideas. I especially like the slime as a revenant-like creature, borne from lingering dark magic in a corpse, really makes these usually low-tier monsters feel menacing.
Ever thought of making a drawing of a type of bird, like an ostrich but with male peacock tail feathers, a cockatiel feather head crest and it kinda having a serrated beak like a terror bird as if it was carnivorous? It may look pretty, but its very deadly, meat-eating, fast runner and yet likes to show off its tail feathers to say, "I'm the best in the flock!" Maybe like a cockatrice, but instead of dying from its reflection, it actually its distracted by its own beauty.
A broodmother insect would so cool as oversized queen insects has always been so cool to me and i would love too how you could make it unique from justa large spider.
Really liking the wow soundtrack in the back of your videos. Tirisfall glades for the Slime, Vashj'ir for the Leviathan, and Durotar for the Behemoth was absolute genius.
I l-o-v-e your video Josh, specifically the slime's design! Here are some ideas for magical creatures for future videos: On land: Chimera, Minotaur, Hydra, Ogre, Goblin, Unicorn, Bicorn, Salamander, Gnome, Golem, Hellhound, Orthrus, Cerberus On water: Sea Serpent, Kraken, Mermaid, Undine, Hydrus, Kelpie, Bunyip, Hippocampus, Mimic On air: Peryton, Winged Horse, Hippogriff, Cockatrice, Gargoyle, Gremlin, Imp, Sylph, Phoenix, Coatl Humanoid mythics: Harpy, Siren, Sphinx, Manticore, Kobold, Orc, Cyclops, Faun, Vampire Lycanthrope, Centaur, Gorgon, Lamia, Dryad, Alraune Animal inspiration for creatures: Kobolds: Dog breeds, as they're dog-like humanoids Orc: Pigs and apes, as they're mixed pig/ape-like humanoids Imp and Gremlin: Winged monkeys (Wizard of Oz reference anyone?) Bunyip: A mix between pinnipeds and marsupials Hydrus: Mustelids (specifically mongooses, weasels, minks, ferrets, stoats, and ermines) Probably because the creature mainly draws inspiration from mongooses. Chimera, Sphinx, and Manticore: Big cats. For the Chimera, anything goes! I would prefer it to be a three-headed creature with the conjoined body of a lion and goat, wings of an eagle or dragon, and a scaly snake-esque tail. Hydra: Cobras and pit vipers, duh! A eight-headed, four-legged, and six-tailed cobra monstrosity would be interesting to see in a future video! Phoenix: Peacocks and pheasants. The bird can draw inspiration from various tropical bird species as well. Hippocampus: Seahorses, as this creature draws inspiration from them Mimic: Hermit crabs and trapdoor spiders.
The videos are awesome and I have been wanting to to make something like this for a long time and you kinda did everything perfectly that I wanted to do especially the dinosaur ones lol keep up the good work
Holy Godzilla, the Leviathan is HUMONGOUS! Which makes sense of course! Dude, I Love the way you did the Leviathan, it looks so Majestic, Powerful, and Badass! Another Top Favorite Creature! The Treants look Mystical and Epic, Fantastic and Perfect Guardians of the Forests! And Interesting Idea with Slimes! Looks very Awesome and Freaky! XD
Love the unique take on "where the f**** does a slime come from"! Given that they come from powerful spellcaster skulls, does that mean they sometimes crawl out of graves? How would you prevent these things from spawning? CAN you prevent them? So many curious questions from such a fun creature!
Now, i think you could use the "Birds-of-paradise" to get some pretty neat color palets for your creatures. The members of this family of birds have a really vibrant pop on their feathers.
I have to say I absolutely love all of your designs so far ! I discovered the series today and watched them all. If you allow me a suggestion, I remember in your raptor design that you talked about doing other raptor species. I would love to see a snow/mountain raptor, with a slender lighter build, almost avian like so it could glide to dive on its prey. And one of my favorite animals being the mountain goat, maybe it could be the inspiration for said prey
know what, you mentioning elementals made me wonder what ypur take on the 4 cardinal elements would look like . Fire - Salamanders . Water - Undines . Earth - Gnomes . Air - Sylphs
The creatures you have drawn look cool I liked the leviathan and tree ent also the slime looked cool and terrifying. I am currently in the process of creating a dnd story with characters and some of them are pets that are fusions of different creatures from dnd lore. One of the creatures I designed is an owl bear griffin hybrid named Luna. Your work is really cool and I really love watching your videos.
Seeing how we're both monster Hunter nuts I would love to see your take on the city of Val habar/loc lac city when it would come to this world I truly believe you could do something very unique with such a concept
I like to tink if you somehow ripped out the skull from the slime it would just start dumping slime continuously from the bottom like dumping a bucked of water 😅
I can't wait till this comes out, and i only subscribed yesterday (Edit) I was here in the morning i went to school and it's now the night and it's not out 😢😢
Can you make a pterosaur that breathes poisonous gas? Like how dragons breath fire. I'm just obsessed with pterosaurs. Would love to see you make something like them.
I once did this too back in college, making majestic creatures always fascinates me i did a cross between a lion and a bison, a giant golem like turtle, a centipede with a shark's head, a giant stag that blends with nature etc. sadly i lost them on a typhoon now im too rusty to draw and kind of lost the passion.
I just imagine a stormy night at sea then you see the leviathan under you or stormy night and you see giant wave’s splashing around and two giant beasts clashing
Cool creatures and it would be cool to see the island turtle as massive sea turtles rivalry the Leviathans in size with its shell cover in plant life that they gain energy from but primary feed on giant jellyfish's but can't leave the epipelagic zone dur to the plant life on its shell.
When you ever published your book, and I'm able to buy it, I absolutely will get it! I LOOOVE fantasy creatures and I love your Art! (And I could show your book in my "Mystical Menagery", where I present mystical creatures and also have some bboks to show. ^^) I love youre Slime version, specialy the side-view version, with the elogated neck and the ripcage and this spine-thingis poking out!
3:13 I HIGHLY recommend you play Rain World. It has a beautiful art style, a very intriguing story, and many unique animals. Notice I didn't call them enemies, because they aren't. All of the animals in Rain World behave like actual animals and actually prioritize their lives. They also have very intricate interactions that form whole ecosystems. Know that, if you decide to play, you will be challenged. This game is hard, as it's not built to be fair. It's built to be realistic. But if you can understand that, then you will thrive.
Would you ever consider drawing up some iconic dinosaurs crossed with some of D&D’s true dragons? Particularly a brass or silver ceratopsian or a red/rex.
Didn't want to make it scary, more like divine Leviathan: *Looks longingly at the souls of creatures, waiting for the time when it can take them to make it's own* You cam't tell me those soulless eyes aren't always disturbing. I'm not saying you didn't do a great job with the Leviathan.
Hmmmmm neat wise trees I wonder if they come in diffrent sizes like a little stump would be cute😂 it would act like anger from inside out😂 I’m starting to imagine it😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Recently discovered your work, and I have gotta say, beautifully well done. I’ve always liked unique mythical creatures like this and I’m inspired, I’d love to buy a book of these! Ps, if you’re taking suggestions, would you be up to doing some sort of giant elephantine beast? Something that’s intimidatingly huge and majestic, yet oddly cute. And maybe some small cute animals thrown into the mix too because biodiversity
I saved some of your videos so far. They're very cool I'm curious, are you gonna do any bigfoot? Type creatures. Also I seen your troll video. Are you gonna do any unique types like desert or jungle? Again, your videos are very cool. Have a good day.😊
I believe your take on slimes is indeed unique, as some who has watched a lot of fantasy anime and read a lot of fantasy manga and light novels.
I love this series. It would be cool an mammoth/elephant like creature
Isn't there already one?
@@ketzy1o366 i don’t think so
A theme of ancient creatures, beautiful colors too

A terror bird type of creature is something i plan on doing eventually
Terror birds are cool, i hope you do one@@JoshWhiteMonsterMania
awesome! can't wait to see it!
Alternatively it could register it's reflection as another bird and start squaring up, lol!
I can’t believe how well you are at this!!!
Just found your channel recently, truly a hidden gem among the world building genre.
A broodmother insect would so cool as oversized queen insects has always been so cool to me and i would love too how you could make it unique from justa large spider.
7:20 White Leviathan is looking more imposing then Moby Dick. Suffice to say, I love the leviathan design!
Really liking the wow soundtrack in the back of your videos. Tirisfall glades for the Slime, Vashj'ir for the Leviathan, and Durotar for the Behemoth was absolute genius.
Yea i try to find a good soundtrack to fit the vibe of each creature if i can. Helps with the immersion
Can't wait, I am loving these videos!
I'm glad we have a pretty similar design aesthetic. If it's cool, it goes in XD
So glad I’m not the only one who does this kind of thing
I’ve seen so many interpretations of Leviathan, but never as a benevolent whale. This episode was really cool as always!
Leviathan looks amazing! Love the idea of them clashing with Krakens, and now I really wanna see your take on the Kraken 😅
İ always saw slimes as a type of slime mold, but you're version is pretty cool ngl

It looks like the tree Titan in ark survival evolved
Luckily he wasn’t basing it off of that :)
awesome worldbuilding
Imagine this being a game, that would be crazy
"one of the largest creatures in existence" is an interesting line
Yay now draw the rival of the leviathan, the Kraken😮
4:12 It looks a lot like the Forest Titan from Ark
I think it would be cool for him to design a cyclops or something, especially with how he drew king sovereign
Seeing how we're both monster Hunter nuts I would love to see your take on the city of Val habar/loc lac city when it would come to this world I truly believe you could do something very unique with such a concept
The ent looks just like the forest titan from ARK!
The Treant looks like Groot . " I am Groot " .
I like to tink if you somehow ripped out the skull from the slime it would just start dumping slime continuously from the bottom like dumping a bucked of water 😅
Well, guess we will be seeing that Kraken in the next video, amiright !? Hahahaha... at least, it better be !!

I like the slime design, and no, from my knowledge the concept of slimes being made from the corpses of dead mages is an original idea.
Thank you for the art I actually making a fantasy world too
The Slime looks like a DnD monster.
How about bat like beast in the video, maybe a wolf beast as well, or even a crustacean
It kinda reminds me on the Forrest Titan from ark survival evolve :]
As usual your skill and creativity blow me away. You should play monster hunter 4 ultimate for a video, would be awesome
In the next video could you do a Unicorn design?

Do the Notoroius Kraken
Cool creatures and it would be cool to see the island turtle as massive sea turtles rivalry the Leviathans in size with its shell cover in plant life that they gain energy from but primary feed on giant jellyfish's but can't leave the epipelagic zone dur to the plant life on its shell.

The treant looks like the forest titan in ark survival evolved tbh
You should start doing more sea creatures, the leviathan was cool but maybe something kind of based more from subnuatica would be cool
i wish you kept explaining what the scientific/latin names meant, i liked and miss that from the first episode of this series
If i knew how to make a game i would make a game about this 100% but ofc idk how
I wonder how leviathan will look
I see tree boi, I click
Prefer those kind of creatures to any others in fantasy! Never enough plant races!
What if the slime body shape is designed on the bones of the character they ate 😮
Video 2 lf requesting a Jaguar creature please 🥺
When will it start 😢😢😢😢
Wen start?
Try something with elephants they are too majestic to not have
Would you ever consider drawing up some iconic dinosaurs crossed with some of D&D’s true dragons? Particularly a brass or silver ceratopsian or a red/rex.
Here's a challenge; have you ever drawn something called *the Wendigo?*
Didn't want to make it scary, more like divine
Leviathan: *Looks longingly at the souls of creatures, waiting for the time when it can take them to make it's own*
You cam't tell me those soulless eyes aren't always disturbing. I'm not saying you didn't do a great job with the Leviathan.
