Hey God! I read Damilare Kuku's book on body dysmorphia, and while it was hilarious and beautifully written, and we could see the back story of the other family members, my entire focus was on Temi, who wanted to renovate her bumbum, partly for the men's gaze and to boost her self-esteem. It also shows clearly how one could be doing so well in all areas of one's life but still hate one's body. Body dysmorphia is real and I hope that as a society we learn to leave people's bodies be!!!
Thank you so much❤️
I agree with you. Body dysmorphia issues start from the little things we joke with each other about. Thank you for sharing this video.
I am glad you agree. Thank you for watching.
Women's bodies will always change, but if you want to do it for yourself, go ahead. Just not for the benefit of a man cos even their minds are always changing too. I love your thoughts on this, well done!
Thank you, and thank you for watching too.
You need to do your research on these subjects.
If societies don’t have ideals of what constitutes “perfection”, we won’t ever get better as a race.
The worst part is that we will wither away as a human race.
Think deeply about it and you will realise we have ideal for everything (not just beauty).
These “ideals” may seem harsh on those who couldn’t match them but it is necessary for us to have an iota of progress in any facet of life.
I don’t think any ideal that favours one party over another, especially as it is not a matter of morals should be questioned.
I appreciate your comment and will look into doing more research in the future. Thank you for watching too.
