When I was little, I remember my favorite spot on the monkey bars. I’d lay back and look up at the bluest sky you ever seen. It was beautiful and glorious and wonderful at the same time. A tranquility and peace and just loving and living in the moment and taking every minute of it. And each day, I’d be right back at my spot again. The best feeling in the world. I think that’s why when I see the sky it just is like reliving the moment everytime. If I had to guess I’m sure that monkey bar spot is likely gone. Things change. It’s a funny thing. When I reached my pre adolescence I had felt if I was ready for this or not. But still I enjoyed everyday and every minute. And here it is today. Completely different from the world that once was. In this day and age can be a lot to take. Thankfully God and his Word never changes. Not then and not now. We learn to take baby steps. And someday we can be in the fullness of peace and joy and love ever after. No longer in a world of pain and sorrow and temptation. No longer bound by the practical technologies and latest trends. No longer caught in the melee of news and politics. But being forever in the presence of God. And we can be in his presence through his Word and prayer. I’m not worried at all about presents or gifts. At least in the sense of things that are temporary. Because they are temporary. But the greatest gift ever given to mankind was in a manger 2000 years ago. When Jesus came to show us all the right way for our lives. The best gift. The best hope. As we look upon the last week of December. The year coming to a close and a new year beginning. Hold on to God’s message. As we keep walking. Better a rusty sword than a clean one. Our battles are many. But the victory is at the end. One day. Jesus is coming back and he is the only way. God bless everyone on this Sunday morning. Prayers for Israel and America and the rest of the world.

When I was little, I remember my favorite spot on the monkey bars. I’d lay back and look up at the bluest sky you ever seen. It was beautiful and glorious and wonderful at the same time. A tranquility and peace and just loving and living in the moment and taking every minute of it. And each day, I’d be right back at my spot again. The best feeling in the world. I think that’s why when I see the sky it just is like reliving the moment everytime. If I had to guess I’m sure that monkey bar spot is likely gone. Things change. It’s a funny thing. When I reached my pre adolescence I had felt if I was ready for this or not. But still I enjoyed everyday and every minute. And here it is today. Completely different from the world that once was. In this day and age can be a lot to take. Thankfully God and his Word never changes. Not then and not now. We learn to take baby steps. And someday we can be in the fullness of peace and joy and love ever after. No longer in a world of pain and sorrow and temptation. No longer bound by the practical technologies and latest trends. No longer caught in the melee of news and politics. But being forever in the presence of God. And we can be in his presence through his Word and prayer. I’m not worried at all about presents or gifts. At least in the sense of things that are temporary. Because they are temporary. But the greatest gift ever given to mankind was in a manger 2000 years ago. When Jesus came to show us all the right way for our lives. The best gift. The best hope. As we look upon the last week of December. The year coming to a close and a new year beginning. Hold on to God’s message. As we keep walking. Better a rusty sword than a clean one. Our battles are many. But the victory is at the end. One day. Jesus is coming back and he is the only way. God bless everyone on this Sunday morning. Prayers for Israel and America and the rest of the world.
