Peter should’ve been able to break those chains, especially in a situation like this since it’d get his adrenaline going, which only makes him stronger

Spidey’s strength has never been too consistent. One day he’ll struggle with a with a car or a locomotive, the next he’s tanking buildings falling on top of him and breaking Doc Ock’s nuclear surviving arms

The chains were not normal steel or anything normal it was made out of adamantium you know the second strongest metal in the world second to vibranium. I know Peter is strong but if hulk can’t break through it or even Thor’s hammer then Peter sure as hell can’t break it.
Writers forgot Peter has broken titanium before

I despise the Wells run with every fiber of my being, but I have to admit that Tombstone’s play was a really clever idea.
I feel dirty after complementing something about this garbage run…

Agreed I despise everything about Wells’ run. But spidey destroying an entire crime syndicate single handedly was kinda cool. Beyond that….this run 🔥🗑️
Even that was garbage. Tombstone beat Spiderman. He made him Beg…. Beg…. That’s not very Spiderman like. Makes me mad how he went from destroying Fisk to getting bodied by Fisks equal and begging for his life.

Yeah but then you got the issue of no one ever trusting you. Spidey is already painted as a menace, imagine how everyone will view him if actually started killing criminals.

Peter got physically and mentally nerfed alot and I mean ALOT in this comic. This story got shit on by the writers

That last frame looks like peter is making out sloppy style with his reflection.
Don't forget how Peter got into this mess: somehow, the same Tombstone who he has taken out with one punch before, tanks multiple of his shots to the back of his head, ear drums, etc.
While knocking Peter out by - yes - squeezing his ribs.
And BEFORE THAT, Peter gets tricked into a trap in a manner that makes you question if he's new to the superhero gig. Which also didn't set off his spider-sense.
Consistently excellent writing, all in all. Zeb Wells has a hate boner for Spider-Man, and Marvel seemingly despises Peter Parker.
Times when spider man becomes unstoppable are the best

I'm not defending him being unable to break titanium since he should be able to, but the people bringing up the steel door is as a reason why are idiotic. Titanium is a stronger metal than steel AND he had more momentum anyways. If you want to complain, use valid points like how stupid the plot was.

Spider-Man had titanium shackles and broken ribs?! Say it isn’t so. But I thought according to these Spider-Man fanboys that Peter was a literal Superman Kryptonian holding back his punches and true strength for decades? 🙄 He’s stronger than Cap, Winter Soldier, and Logan. I’ll give him that. But he’s been beat down and bested plenty of times.
