    Only thing better than a Forester is two Foresters! Love your backyard and space to move and park your fleet. I can relate to the plastic clips. I just ordered a bunch of assorted types off ebay, should come in handy.

      The backyard is a good size but the shed needs to be a lot bigger. Plus my lifted forester doesn’t fit under the roller door. But upgrades will come in time! And great idea buying a few extra clips, those things break so easily!

    Hey mitre! Great to see you getting the opportunity it to build V2 bigger badder and better than ever.
    Note the air box thing is a resonance chamber to quieten down noise not to capture water. If it was to capture water it would have a drain. Lots of cars ha e them sometimes big sometimes small. But in general they are useless except to get rid of the throaty intake noise or spooly boi noises.

      Ah right oh. I know on my SF there was a drainage hole on the bottom of it which allowed any water in the intake to drain. Thanks for the info 😊

    • @hoberspank

      I dont think he is swapping the lift over, in a previous video he said he will do a more subtle look and lift only 2" or something.

    Hi mate, you mentioned the
    Torq locker, just received my 2/2.5 lift kit from Subie lift oz and was considering ordering this funny piece of contraption from Mat.
    However you sounded a bit doubtful, is it that bad/annoying for everyday drive around town? In your opinion will it put unnecessary strain on the drive line when driving on sealed surfaces ?

    • @ignitionoffroad5028
      @ignitionoffroad5028  4 года назад +1

      I’m certainly not trying to scare anyone away from the locker. While the clicking is a little annoying, the locker works brilliantly offroad. What I’m trying to say in this video is the combination of a heavy duty centre diff and torq locker don’t work well together. Everyone I’ve spoken to with a standard centre diff have had no issues, however talking to someone with the 4EAT centre diff lock mod, they have had the same experience as me when the centre diff is locked. I hope this makes sense.

    Hi mate just picked up a NA SG , just wondering what your thoughts are on bash plates . Are they really needed and is it worth buying one or just making one yourself?

    • @ignitionoffroad5028
      @ignitionoffroad5028  4 года назад +2

      Hey, I definitely recommend bash plates. Mainly one under the engine. Wether you make one yourself or buy one, it’s added protection you will want! I smashed my sump in on the second outing after the new transmission and it’s not fun to replace...

    • @elliot7179
      @elliot7179 4 года назад

      @@ignitionoffroad5028 Did you think the bought ones are worth the money ? i noticed you returned to a homemade job is that because of the lift?

    • @ignitionoffroad5028
      @ignitionoffroad5028  4 года назад +1

      Yes, that’s because of the 4” lift and the subframe spacers, meaning the original sump guard no longer lined up. Essentially half the mounting points for the guard were 2” lower than the other points so it didn’t work anymore

    • @neilb6029
      @neilb6029 4 года назад +1

      @@elliot7179 Subaextreme did a cast alloy sump guard which is next to useless, if you hit something they crack. I think they do a aluminum sheet one now though. It's easy enough just to get some aluminum sheet and bend one yourself. There are templates on the internet if you do a search. I definitely recommend a sump guard of some sorts though and should be among the first things you buy for a Forester that goes offroad.

    Looking good! I'm not sure what the design on the back of your t-shirt was about, but all I could see was "NA" being crossed out, which seemed entirely appropriate as you were moving parts over to the turbo fozzy. :-)

    • @ignitionoffroad5028
      @ignitionoffroad5028  4 года назад +1

      Haha, that was completely unintentional. I’m not even sure what the shirt says, it was cheep so I bought it 😂

  • @nesbi88

    Just an idea, what if this time, instead of using an auto locker, use an e locker, I understand that a guy from Australia has managed to adapt one to a sg, look his video, it could be the best for on and off road
