My husband was a Master Potter. Before he passed he spoke of making miniature pieces of pottery and figurines were Either Molded from miniature molds or hand thrown USEING toothpicks . Very very difficult throwing techniques and the moldings . Amazing collections in this doll house and the dolls in detailed miniature. in 60 years of his work and collections he had very few pieces that we had come across. This type of collection is mainly going in Europe I believe and the COST of these tiny creations was well above what the average person could buy.
