These are great but for the first one, surely you have to secure the stitches under the repair or they’ll just unravel further up to the stitches used to secure the repair and beyond?
The stitch is picked up with the latch hook before each stitch column is worked. This is a great method - I've used it on sock heels.

The stitches are picked up before you work up each column. I've done it so I can guarantee it works

Where can I get that double sided hook?
Finally I found one in my country (Finland) by the name of 'ryijykoukku', a hook you use to weave ryas ('ryijy', a rug on the wall). Hope it is not too big, since it seems impossible to find the hooks in the internet (other than Temu...). The one I found in a shop is way too small and suitable for very thin sewing yarn or lace yarns.
EDIT: Latch hook seems to be the name in English.
Try looking up knitting machine repair needles and crochet hook for hair interlocking. That’s how I found mine. Hope this helps:)
It’s called a latch hook, it comes in latch hook kits but you can buy it separately
