I wasn’t impressed with this dress when I first saw it, but your version, worn open at the throat and unbelted, looks so sophisticated and elegant that I am sold.
Love this dress on you Whitney 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. We are very similar shapes, but I look like a sack of spuds (potatoes) tied in the middle when I wear anything belted ☹️. I think I might give this pattern a try👍🏻 x
I love this! Both the pattern and your creation. Your lovely dress reminds be of a retro 1970’s Diane von Frustenberg type dress. Very feminine, ladylike, classy and perfect. You look terrific in it. I snapped this pattern up right away.
Gorgeous! I have a similar viscose fabric but in mustard that I don’t know what to do with. So inspired by this! Now I have a plan, Thank you for yet another amazing video. ❤
Whitney, this dress looks fabulous on you - the length and choice of fabric is perfect. I am looking forward to seeing a blouse made up (perhaps,in one of your lovely silk fabrics you purchased recently). 🌸
Thought I recognized the fabric. Very lovely dress on you. The pattern is so versatile, I can see it would make an excellent stash buster with all the fabric possibilities.
Beautiful Whitney! I love this style dress. This fabric is absolutely gorgeous. A top will be lovely too. I wish you would do your Sew Haley Jane Box opening on this channel rather than a Shorts, Reels or Stories, I really enjoy them. I really love watching them on your RUclips Channel ~Nancy 😊
I love this!! Definitely wouldn’t add the belt. In fact, I feel the fabric belt would make the dress look “homemade” rather than “handmade”. I hope your temps warm up soon so you can wear this stunning garment.
I didn't like the pattern when I saw it, but I DO love it on you: the way you have chosen your fabric, and wear it un-belted. It is such a flattering dress! (My body is the exact opposite of yours, so I will not be trying it. However that is why we check out the people on you-tube!! We always learn something new.
This dress is so flattering on you! I haven't bought the pattern yet but going to buy it now after watchng your video. I didn't realize just the collar stand was an option. I thought the same thing about the ruffle at the top. Also, I love your hair! Of course I always notice. 😂
I love this dress, the fabric is gorgeous! I think I see behind you a sewing box (?) that looks just like my original one, age 9, but in yellow and white!😊
Love the dress and it looks great on you. I followed your older tutorial on printing patterns at PDF Plotting. 3 of the patterns went very smoothly. One pattern is giving me a fit. I can’t seem to get it to print to correct size. On PDF plotting you can’t choose between color & black & white any more. It’s now $2.45 a page whether it’s color or black & white. They do give a % off according to how much you buy. Also take so much off shipping if you go over a certain amount. So it’s best to buy in bulk. The space in your room looks v
You are right that PDF Plotting has changed their site a bit since I filmed that video. It definitely saves some money to print in bulk. Sorry about the potatoes!
Lovely dress, I think the shirring would be great and also could you add a little bit of shaping at the waist instead of a belt? That might be more your daughter's style.
I love this dress. There was a time I would have had lots of these in my closet but now I would probably cut it off for a long top with slacks. The fabric is gorgeous. i am wondering if I need a rounded back most of the time what advice would you have with a raglan or is there another feature of this pattern that wouldn't make it necessary. I usually do 1" at center back. I can't sew as fast as you inspire us ;-)
There is a top version of this pattern as well and I can't wait to make it up as well! As far as a high round back adjustment, you can still do the adjustment on a raglan top. You will just make the adjustment on the center back piece and you can leave the sleeves alone!
The new spot dance! Ha ha ha😅 Nice! Do you get to pick the amount of fabric you get in the subscription box? I'm a larger girl and require more fabric to sew dresses.
I wasn’t impressed with this dress when I first saw it, but your version, worn open at the throat and unbelted, looks so sophisticated and elegant that I am sold.
Thank you so much!
I also, like frances, didn't think I would give this one a try. But......now I think I will. Thanks Whitney!
Oh good!
You’re so right that the style is flattering…and slenderizing….on you. Of course in your color pallet! Great make!
Thank you so much!!
That dress is stunning, fits you perfectly
Thank you so much!
Love that fabric! And I can't wait to see the tour of your machines and space.
Coming soon!
What a perfect fabric choice for this dress! Both the print, color and style are so flattering. I like the simplicity of the elastic cuff.
Thank you so much!
That dress looks stunning on you. Great pattern!
Thank you!

Yes! Try it!
Love the pattern, the fabric and how it looks on you - also looks like a wide range of body types could wear this well!
Absolutely!
I like your new video vinyet. Very warm and homey looking 😊
Thank you so much!
I love the unbelted dress on you! This fabric still shows your curves even unbelted, just perfect! Enjoy wearing this comfortable dress.
I can't wait to wear it!
It looks very good on you. Very flattering. You look Sooooo tall all of a sudden bahaha. It's definitely a great looking shirt dress.
I look tall--hahaha. Thank you so much!
The unbelted dress looks absolutely fabulous on you, Whitney! Seeing your version of this pattern makes me excited to try it. 😊
Give it a try!
@@TomKatStitchery I bought the pattern & I have the fabric I want to use. Yay!
Your dress is gorgeous! Great fabric choice! I love the look of this pattern, particularly due to the raglan sleeve. Thanks for showing us yours. ❤
Glad you like it!

Diane von Frustenberg is a fantastic style icon!!

This is such a win! Your version makes me want to get the pattern!
Give it a whirl!
Love the new spot Whitney. Great decision.
Also love the new ITS pattern, great make.
It's a great pattern!
So beautiful! Love ITS patterns and their fit is always spot on. I'll have to shorten the sleeve, though, as it gets hot down here in SW Florida.
It would be easy to shorten the sleeves
Whitney, this dress looks fabulous on you - the length and choice of fabric is perfect. I am looking forward to seeing a blouse made up (perhaps,in one of your lovely silk fabrics you purchased recently). 🌸
Stay tuned....you may be reading my mind.....
Fab dress in a fab fabric - what’s not to love 🥰
It's a great garment--can't wait for it to get a little warmer
Thought I recognized the fabric. Very lovely dress on you. The pattern is so versatile, I can see it would make an excellent stash buster with all the fabric possibilities.
Absolutely! I could see this in a spring print too!
That colour is fantastic on you!
Thank you !
ooooh!! so cute and it looks fab on you unbelted. I think I'll try and style with vest and boots
Oh a vest! Yes!!!

Love that fabric. Beautiful
Thank you!!

Thank you so much!
That would make the perfect Auburn Tigers game day dress. War Eagle!
It would make a great dress for any "tiger" team.
I like this back drop better Whitney. Looking forward to seeing your re-org.
Thank you so much!
Love the dress. I really love the fabric choice as well. Great fit. It’s a wonderful make.
Thank you so much!
Great color on you. Flattering without the belt.
Thank you so much!

Yes! There are so many views and visions of what we could be making!
I think that it looks better without the belt. It looks really good on you, Whitney. Great dress!
Thank you!
It looks great on you! I love it without the belt!
Thank you!
Like the Azores shirt. Love it.
Thank you!!
Yes. I am excited about this pattern also. I already bought it.
Yay!

gorgeous, going to buy it now
Hope you enjoy it!
The dress looks wonderful, but I have GOT to sew up some of my other patterns and fabric before buying more.
That's a good goal.
I love this dress, the fabric is gorgeous! I think I see behind you a sewing box (?) that looks just like my original one, age 9, but in yellow and white!😊
Love that!

The space in room looks very nice. I had to run. Hubby forgot potatoes he was baking & burned them to a crisp.

Shirring: great idea
That is a great idea!

Nice! Do you get to pick the amount of fabric you get in the subscription box? I'm a larger girl and require more fabric to sew dresses.
I believe it comes with a fixed amount of fabric but that would be a good question for Sew Haley Jane
It might look nice with good leather belt.
Oh yes
