Awesome finds Chris that Mal 4 is one of my favorite trios of all time . That Kind of Blue story is killer man that’s is pristine and you were the first to drop the needle is a great experience I’ve never seen that Gigi Gryce also a beauty Happy New Year Chris . Lovellandrew
A pal who was manager of a local record store called me this past summer saying he had just gotten some used jazz, blues and R&B records in I might be interested in. I got some Prestige and Riverside 50s stuff, some OGs, some pressings from the mid 60s. I picked up 27, $90 total, I found out later a Red Garland was going on Discogs for $200. After I left the owners told him they’d be closing the 52 year old store by week’s end. Sigh.
Hello CB, another great video with some fine finds. I just wanted to thank you for your commitment to making these informative videos. Where you use Down Beat magazine, I often return to your channel to help inform my buying decisions (i.e. John Wright Trio - South Side Soul). I have not been steered wrong. All the best for 2025 and as always, looking forward to all your publishing.
Hey Thanks so much for the heads up. I really wish there was a cheaper option to post, dude to the nature of all the hand painted album covers hand painted wall art handmade book, the only option is to send everything Tracked mail . This protects you and me and hopefully all that the parcel contains. Your album ended up in Italy for some unknown reason. But replacement sent and claim made :) I hope its all appreciated as is much much hard work x
Sounds like your "Las Vegas connection" had a pretty good year him/herself with all the hard to find, original/vintage pressing jazz albums that you bought from them in 2024... Cheers!
Two ways. One is an audible hiss that you can hear throughout the recording, and the other is you’ll see a bumpy texture either in the playing section of the vinyl or in the runout
Yes I did make a video about the announcement offering some thoughts. And I did sign up but just for the quarterly subscription. I got the first couple of titles as well as the exclusive title in a few days ago but immediately went out of town for the holidays, so I’ll have to post a reaction video in the next week or so
Nice one Chris, great year of vids, look forward to many more in 25.
Rapid fire is good way to showcase your record purchases. We can always hit the pause button and look each record up more in depth. 👍
Great video, congratulations on your finds this year

You should check out Nimbus Sextet from Scotland. My friends son is the Trumpet player in the group.
Man, now I feel jealous

I'm early in my jazz journey and love the brief little instrumental audio clip at the opening of your videos. Who & what is it?
Look in the “more” section of this video and you will see a link to the music, Kevin MacLeod”s Acid Jazz tube
@@GD710ASt Thank you kindly!
Great
Will there be a top jazz reissues list for 2024?
How do you know if it’s recycled vinyl?

@ thanks!
What do you think of the new Tone Poet Society...do you think it's worth the $$$? Did I miss a video on this topic?

@ I have the Analogue Productions Davis Cup and it sounds great but the Jazz Bums were saying that the BN Davis Cup is better but🤔
@ I did purchase the Impex Bill Evans Explorations because of your review😊
@ I found the video and I am watching it now…thanks!
I don’t think that the Davis Cup is available without the subscription🤔
You better take it easy on that drug connection in Las Vegas…
