Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship Program

The MSD Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship is a Registered Apprenticeship with the Kentucky Education Workforce Development Cabinet, Department of Workplace Standards. The purpose of the program is to promote a high level of on the job and in classroom learning standards resulting in a journey worker certification Maintenance Mechanic recognized throughout the United States.
During the four-year program, apprentices are full-time MSD employees while learning to work on industrial equipment through rotations working in the Wastewater Collections and Treatment and Flood Protection departments of the Operations Division.
