This is incredible!! The two tones are exactly what I want but had no idea it was possible. The additional covers inside covering the bars are perfect and the smaller sky light is perfect. This has changed everything for me. Thank you
Thanks for that, mate. This particular build, we were only a part of the dome install, not the entire project, so I am not sure how long the project took. However, the King Dome took about 5 days to erect to completion.
Question. If you had a telehandler, or some sort of crane, where you could build the top of the building first, then lift it up, and then attach the next level, and lift it up, and then then next level so that you were working on the ground the whole time, would that be faster?
Yes, that would be faster. I would weigh out the cost of the crane for a full day vs labour costs. As we build them quite often, we wouldn't see more than 1hr saved for the larger domes doing it this way, but for someone who has never built, the crane method may be easier. I would be careful as to where you are picking the dome up from, however (as well as how many lifting points).
@nicholaslogan5185 we don't use the jack method in our builds as we still need scaffold to install our extraction fans, insulation and curtains inside. If it was just the frame and cover, then hanging or jacking it would be other options (though we don't have issues at all with building from ground up).
Are you referring to the installation of the dome or the entire project? Both can fluctuate but the latter can substantially fluctuate. There are a multitude of factors that determine the cost of an entire project. From ground quality, foundations, internal fitout, service connections etc.
Hey Chris, the general specifications of the frame and cover remain fairly consistent between us and Pacific Domes. Pacific Domes has been in the game longer than we have been alive so hats off to them for that. How we differ however is in our attention to detail when it comes to our accessories (such as our curtais/railing systems, insulation layer, tensioning system and winodws/ventilation. That as well as the fact that their premium models are substantially more expensive than ours with the similar (on paper) bells and whistles that we offer. Cheers, Jesse from Kingdomes.

Hi from the UK! Great time lapse! We've just built our 3rd dome and about to build a 10 metre one too, but only have 2 of us!
Wow! Good on you guys, and best of luck with your building. Make sure to subscribe to see more of our content!

Is there any plans to make something bigger than 10meters?
We can definitely do larger than 10m King Domes. This will just move into custom orders 😊
@@kingdomes_leisureso 20m is possible?

@@regun2434 yes absolutely. Feel free to reach out to us directly to discuss further.
Is it really geodome? Is not it more "lamella" dome?
Great eye there. Our 10m King Dome is a lamella style so that more accessories can be added. Most people have never heard of this style.
Yeah I was going to say they look pretty straight to be a geodesic.

Yeah I was thinking about why this wasn't done the way u make a silo and just use jacks to lift the structure as u add the lower layers.
