Welcome to the Bloodywood experience! I have a feeling you’ll appreciate their tour names - last one was Raj Against the Machine, upcoming is Nine Inch Naans. And you’re spot on about the name, originally they started as a bit of a joke doing metal covers of Bollywood songs (go way back and check out Tunak Tunak Tun if you want *seriously* bonkers). If you’d like to see a bit more of their range, Yaad is a power ballad about loss, Dana Dan is their heaviest one to date musically and lyrically (turn on CC for that one, people wanted to be able to toggle off the lyrics/translations, so they moved them to CC) But really, you can’t go wrong with any of their stuff. You can definitely see growth from the older stuff to now, but it’s all good
I remembering seeing Dana Dan coming out, playing the song, seeing the trigger warning and then getting hit with Roul in the intro and I was like "oh this gon' be a good one!"
Greatest song of my entire life, and Im 48 bro... Do "Dana, dan" with CC on next please... Or Gaddar... ❤️Bloodywood❤️ stay safe and greetz from Germany
This song is one of the greatest one ever written. I can listend to it 24/7 for weeks without getting tired of it. I was a proud Sabaton Fan since 2009 but with Tage Album rhakshak, bloodywood kicked them of the throne of my Most favorite Band. Greetings from Germany
Oh you haven't seen everything yet. Wait till the Dhol comes in. Check out Gaddaar to see Bloodywood at their most Bloodywood in my opinion. Loved this reaction 🤘 Ps. The whole album is amazing. Been listening to it nonstop since the release
For more Bloodywood, I'd definitely recommend Gaddar, Dana Dan, Jee Veerey, Machi Bhasad. Some other great folk metal bands to check out: Cruachan, Finntroll, Alien Weaponry, Ensiferum, Korpiklaani, Svartsot, the list goes on and on. Another great metal band from India is Bhayanak Maut (very much like Lamb of God).
welcome to the world of folk metal. we have everything from traditional arabic music to Mongolian throat singing you can headbang to if ya want recomendations from this genre let me know I got a whole list ready XD
@@callmeizzy9785 Alien weaponry- New Zealand (Maori/te reo metal) Wagakki band- Japanese (more folk rock than metal but still a banger band) The Hu- Mongolia Hassak- Kazakhstan (more of an ethno group but they wouldn't be out of place at any metal concert with songs Like "Amanat") Arka'n Asafokor- Togo Al Namrood- Saudi arabia (I know there are some bands from Egyp as well but IDK their names) Cemican- Mexico (be sure to look for it on YT as "cemican band mexico" because yt presumes you meant to write "chemical") Bloodywood- India Manntra- Croatia Percival-Poland Arkona-Russia
In terms of flutes and rock I would have assumed you’ve ran into Jethro Tull, but bloodwood are just something else. Almost anything they’ve released is worth a look but if yo get the time check out the “raj against the machine” documentary where they end up playing at Wacken.
